RE: PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Thank you for the very kind words. I sent Craig an email to try to encourage him that there is so much in life to look forward too as I certainly can relate to what he is going through. He sounds like a remarkable young man and I think he is going to make quite an impact in life even if he doesn't know it now. I have had my ups and downs but consider myself already quite rewarded in life. I just wish I could do more to help the various charities as it is heart breaking to drive by the homeless shelters and see these people staying outside because there is no room. I am pushing city council to get these people a place to stay as we have temps dropping in -40 here in Canada and they just can't survive. Didn't meant to ramble on. I wish you a wonderful New year.teddybear

RE: PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Hi. Yes I fully agree with what you said. I too like Craig was in bad accident which shortened my military career. At first I was devasted. The doctor said I wouldn't walk but after 4 years I did. I still play with a band in the military, but my biggest reward has been as a mentor in music to kids and doing charity drives. As I said early when one door closes, another one opens.

RE: PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I like your style.

RE: PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Oh no, you did not belittle me at all. I totally agree with what you said about helping the charities. I served my country with honour, but I can also equally serve my community without the uniform. Both to me are equally rewarding. I was saying that it gives me great joy to help the local charities.

RE: PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Couldn't have said it better myself. Don't know if I am a hero, but it sure gives me a good feeling to do something for the charities. I think the heros are the ones running these charities. They awe me.

RE: What has Cs given you this year before it is gone...?

Yeah I agree with that. I decided in the new year to work on a home based business, so won't really have time to look for anyone. Guess it is for the best. Who knows, maybe I just wasn't meant to be with anyone.

RE: PLEASE HELP ME!!!

There are many ways to be a hero without being in combat. I did sail on a combat ship and got fired at; wasn't fun. I have felt more rewarded by volunteering to help young cadets with music, and doing charity drives for our homeless and our Veterans. I have always believed that when one door closes another one opens.

RE: What has Cs given you this year before it is gone...?

RE: What has Cs given you this year before it is gone...?

That is something I am good at.

RE: What has Cs given you this year before it is gone...?

in the middle of what? If he is out there, then he is hiding quite well.

RE: What has Cs given you this year before it is gone...?

which corner? I have tried all 4.confused

RE: What has Cs given you this year before it is gone...?

Hi Dana. Nice to meet you. My name is Rose. Well, I sure could use a few laughs. Has been a particulary hard year on me, so I want to make the best of 2009.

RE: What has Cs given you this year before it is gone...?

hmm, glad to know I am not alone in my frustration. Haven't met any good people yet, but lots of game players.

RE: What has Cs given you this year before it is gone...?

I was disapointed on this site, but I did lose 24 pounds. So, guess there is something to be said for disapointment.

RE: What has Cs given you this year before it is gone...?

Thanks for picking up my spirits. I guess no matter what site you go on, you are going to find the game players. I just don't like wasting my time with these guys. Some of the forums are interesting and I have put in my two cents. I will try to keep my chin up. Maybe 2009 might be my year.

RE: What has Cs given you this year before it is gone...?

CS is alright. Just had very disapointing results with men on this site. Hopeflly I will meet one good man in 2009.

RE: Number of unmarried women increases every year

You are a class act. Thanks for giving me hope that there are good men like you out there.

RE: What's your definition of a real man?

That is a given.

RE: whos taken and who is not taken

If I was taken, I certainly would not be on this site or the computer. I would be with my man.

RE: What's your definition of a real man?

Couldn't have said it better myself.

RE: What's your definition of a real man?

One that can accept me for who I am and not feel he is less of a man because of my intelligence and independence. He embraces my strengths rather than resents them. Guess that is why I am still single; haven't met one that is up for the challenge.cheers

RE: Being contacted from those in other countries....

Yes, I have and they have even had the nerve to ask for money or a place to stay when they visit. I just delete the messages and block them.

RE: Do purses equal tools?

I have to agree with you on this one as I do my own repairs around the house. My best investments have been in tools. I guess I am a little more practical.

RE: How do men feel about bigger woman?

I too am a curvy girl. I think most Albertan men are very shallow to be honest with you and all they want is the model types. Too bad they don't go for personality.

RE: Canadian versus American men

In 20 years, I have dated both American and Canadian men in my travels. I found Canadian men are much more conservative than American men so they may be a little shy to reply. In fairness to the Canadian men, I think the responses depend on what we as women are looking for. Maybe they are looking at our profiles and seeing that they don't match what we want. Just a thought.
