Thanks also to HealthyLiving and KrazieStill.... there is so much to digest. Its getting late here now so I'll have to be off to bed. But I will have another look tomorrow and see which bits I'll pick out as I'm just not gonna be able to do it all..... shame!
And thanks to Hugz, StressFree and all those I haven't managed to get around to yet.... just not enough hours in the day are there??!!
Nighty night, peeps!! Sleep well when you go and sweet dreams....
Well, Arabella (I've always loved that name!).... I try not to kill anything unless I really can't help it, rather go when there are LESS bugs. But, yes, I may take Bob up on his offer.... Joel up there doesn't appear keen!! But if Bob doesn't accommodate riff-raff, do you think he could possibly be bribed??
Don.... whoooaaa!!! A lot to take in there, I think you are right, it will probably take more than one visit if I want to see it all..... thanks, matey!! Love to Jackson, as always.....
It has been known. Me personally? Not sure, doubt it. I would consider a long-distance relationship if it was for a time, with a view to re-location on either part but as a very long term arrangement......... no!!
So which is it, Hank, that you have a problem with? The subject matter, the volume created, or perhaps a combination?
You, of all people, surprise me, love.... its not about "debate", surely you know that? Nor does the agenda involved here warrant participation. In fact, it specifically requires non-participation!!
Thanks again, Joel. It doesn't matter about it being small. I have been to museums and galleries all over the place and some of the most fascinating WERE the smaller ones, in fact.
Sorry.... I was referring to the museum, of course, nothing to do with anything else!!
I quite like Norman Rockwell...!! And I believe the "fall" is just breathtakingly beautiful, I would love to see it. I do want to go when the weather is sunny and hot though, but not TOO hot.
I would like to know about the public transport, of course.
Thanks for all the suggestions, folks..... so many places to visit!
Well.... a date has been decided upon....... Saturday!! I have had conflicting views and I am in two minds, for all the obvious reasons. I still have time to decide NOT to go....
Wow!!! What a fab story.... I love things like that!! If you get a chance look up the story of the Methuselah Tree (that's in North America).... its totally fascinating. I saw the BBC documentary some years ago and was mesmerised, it was awesome!!
Sorry Gingerb..... I did miss that you mentioned the Zuni. Do ya know where my mind was? I drifted off thinking about those hot springs!!! I remember them from my time in Canada...!!
Yes, Ship......... Florida is on my mental list and that cottage sounds wonderful. I will have a tight budget though and I would be interested to hear how good the public transport is as I'm not sure I am brave enough to drive on the wrong side of the road (with the steering wheel on the wrong side too!!)....
Plenty of marinas and harbours would delight me no end, and boat trips.... Wey hey!!!!! My other love would be good restaurants.... its not ALL burgers, is it?
Thanks Ocee.... I do quite fancy the Grand Canyon. That's in the desert, isn't it? I have always had a fascination for the North American desert. And thanks for the info re. mosquitos.... very helpful, I shall check it out.
New Mexico sounds very interesting too..... I have had experience of the Native American culture when I lived in Canada, I'd love to re-kindle that spark, as it were........ thanks, love!!
Graham, if you could, love.... that would be most useful as I've always wanted to go to San Fransisco.... enjoy your trip, won't you?
I am toying with the idea of perhaps visitng the States some time next year......
Can anyone recommend places over the Pond to visit? Is your neck of the woods worth a peek? I am keen to know the places to visit, things to see and do, and the weather at certain times of the year.....
I would be most eager to experience some of what the Native American culture has to offer. All ideas would be welcomed but I do need to avoid mosquitos where possible.
This is providing the riff-raff is allowed in, of course....!!
Who'd have thought that Christian God-fearing people would've have resorted to such underhand tactics...??
Whilst I won't get into a debate about religion, I have to agree with Rwantin, from my experiences and observations.
Whatever you decide, and whatever you believe, however.... I do think you should attend Church for the appropriate reasons and that, in my mind, doesn't involve the seeking of a relationship.
RE: What women want....
Well, if I was nearer, Stew, I suspect I would be taking the day off work??!!
