$150 million divorce settlement, now I don't fee so bad

Me too.

I didn't even hire a lawyer. Her lawyer wrote up the deal.

I reviewed it. Made amendments.

She checked it over with her counsel.

Then we each signed.

50-50., Why fight.

It still hurt -- a lot, the money I mean.

oh well.

The way I look at it, it's like the dissolution of abusiness deal.

When one partner wants out, the other has to buy them out.

Exactly right,

But it takes two parties to be reasonable.

One won't cut it.

And if one is unreasonable, then there's not much you can do but spend money on lawyers.

What a waste.

RE: do guys actually read profiles

Absolutley right.

In a perfect world, you are correct.

But I and we live in the real world. And looks do rule.

The beauty and fashion industry, not to mention cosmetic surgery, prove it.

RE: What does chemistry mean to you?

Jelousy is not very attractive, you know.

RE: What does chemistry mean to you?

Gawd!!

That's so boring.

That's not chemistry at all.

That's being married for way too long.

Chemistry is like boom -- a spark -- an explosion -- it's excitement.

And it's hot.

RE: Big jump.

speaking of gas prices, here's the fastest car in the world.

At top speed, it empties its 100-litre tank in 11 minutes,

Gas prices -- these owners couldn't care less.

Bugatti EB 16.4 Veyron 253mph+, 0-62mph 2.5 secs
Officially the fastest car in the world. Ever. In a straight line the Bugatti Veyron simply owns the opposition. Electronically limited to 253mph, the Veyron’s top-end superiority is underlined by simply staggering acceleration. Remember the 243mph McLaren F1? Even given a 100mph head start, the Veyron would still beat one to the double ton. More fun stats include emptying the 100-litre fuel tank in 11 minutes at maximum velocity – a situation engineers have described as a ‘safety feature’. Travel that fast for a whole half hour and even the special high-speed tyres would apparently start to melt.
With four turbochargers, the 8.0-litre W16 engine makes a minimum 1000bhp, so it’s no surprise to discover the car contains 17 different cooling devices. Four-wheel drive and sophisticated aerodynamics mean the Veyron isn’t just a hyper-performance dragster, either, cornering incredibly for something weighing 1888kg. A super-fast shifting seven-speed DSG gearbox and mega price-tag completes this ultimate high-speed package.

Thank youhead banger

Yes! We all want to be cool

Too bad I didn't wager real big on that one.

I need the money 'cause I'm in luuuuuuv with a car.

Porsche GT3, a less is more type of machine.

Who wants to donate to my favourite charity. That would be me.

Target: $147,000 + taxes.

RE: Anything goes thread..

I'm in luuuuuuuuuuv

With a car.
It's been a long time since I cared about cars. Driven way too many of them and gotten jaded.

Basically, we should all remember their primary purpose -- to get us from point A to B.

But then only a fraction of owners believe that. Everyone else is in a fantasy world of status and image when it comes to wheels.

Well, now I'm guilty too, again.

I want the new Porsche GT3.

The GT3 is a less is more kind of car. It has few frills, less sound insulation, but it goes like stink.

This model has been pared down to a basic, no-nonense sports car.

It's louder inside and lacks a luxury ride ride, but it handles like it's on rails, precise and totally nimble.

It's the perfect track car that's street legal, an elite athlete on four wheels.

I need to win the lottery.

If anyone has a GT3 and is too busy to drive it, I'm available to exercise it for you.

RE: Blair's Legacy

I like to think he considered all the options and made the decision based on his own values and reasons.

I hardly think a powerful leader of great country like GB is a poodle or puppet.

It's a cheap shot.

RE: Blair's Legacy

Tony Blair's loyalties lay with what he believed to be true and the best for his country.

He was a great leader, the youngest in Great Britain in well over a century, and history will, I believe, treat him favourably.

I think the best thing that can be said about Blair is that he was a true leader.

He did not follow the set lef-wing ideology and that's what rankles the ideologues, as I see it.

I for one, am sorry to see him go, as I was Reagan and Thatcher.

RE: Blair's Legacy

Blair was a fine leader. He stood for what he believed in and refused to be caged by left wing ideology.

Maybe, no for sure, he was a minor player compared to Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan, but nonetheless he will be judged favourably by history.
