Actually that was taken from the Greek and the original text used a word for the children that wasn't Giant. It is also found in the Dead Sea scrolls which are the oldest original texts. You refer to the nephilim. More like monsters. Can't be determined if they meant psychotic or monstrous. Loosely translated it meant 'the violent ones' or, 'the ones who fall upon their enemies.' Mighty men of renown. You see it again in Numbers where the nephilim viewed others as being no more than grasshoppers.

True dat. One of the hallmarks of the scammer who suddenly emails you is a total ignoring of most questions you ask. Sometimes this is because they simply can't read or write a reply in English and are merely sending you letter #2, letter #3, letter#4, etc. from a script and hope you don't notice it (or google key sentences in their letter to see if it has been sent to other victims before). Of course sometimes it is just because the other person is a jerk.
Several years ago I watched a coworker get fired for a mistake they made which they thought the boss had forgiven at the time, 4 years earlier. The firing stuck and an unemployment check was not forthcoming. To me, this was wrong and clearly done just to get out of paying one person's compensation when the lay offs hit a few weeks later.
It is the responsibility of every government to protect and defend their citizens against both today's hostile actions and tomorrows. The US has learned what happens when they miss something. I have never understood this debate. My Grandfather made guns from in his shop when I was a boy. I used to go in there and watch. The topic is easy. I made my first working gun from old engine parts and scrap steel there in his shop when I was 12. Okay, it was only a 2 shot pistol, but the blowback principle was understood and I suppose if I had wanted to I could have copied something he had. My point is, Pandora's box was opened centuries ago.
If you banned them all today, it would a) take 200+ years to collect them all (there are many guns more than 100 years old that still work perfectly), and, b) people would start making new ones by the second day. The only thing such a law would do is create a very dangerous totally false impression that there are no more guns so you are safe. Meanwhile the guy at your front door has one.

However, the cats are much smarter. If when a woman comes here they all run and hide and don't come out for several hours after she has left, I trust their judgment. If on her first visit the cats come to greet her, I know this one will be okay. So far the cats have never steered me wrong.

I am ignoring the Infidel vs. Infidelity controversy and focusing on the post itself. Sooner or later you may encounter an unfaithful partner. Some weigh the circumstances and perhaps give a second chance. When I was young and dumb I did that once or twice. It never worked out for me. By the time I was 26 I had learned. If they cheat, dump em and move on. It took awhile, but I did eventually find someone trustworthy.
I wish to meet and observe their interaction with life with the ones who do not believe in gravity. Even if they just float along, it will be entertaining. :)
In your culture (whatever it is) are there still grown women who would confuse a man they have not slept with with someone who they had not yet slept with?
Here in America (admittedly a place of lax morality) a woman is not usually considered to be a girlfriend if she is not sleeping with the man. Someone in another thread just raised an issue. In that person's culture (allegedly) a woman would only sleep with someone she is married to, and it would be enough for just one or two dates for the man to be considered a boyfriend.
Needless to say, I am like, say what?
You may be a friend, and I may meet you for lunch or a movie now and then, but to me, no way does that promote us to a boyfriend/girlfriend status.

You are of course kind of proving my point regarding the upper 10% of the worlds wealthy. If I had hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars I like to think I would have more experience dating the women of equal wealth. I have however been 'blessed' to attend private educational facilities with some who probably fit into that kind of category, children of foreign dictators and drug lords, children of founder/owners of well known known corporations, etc. and did have occasion to observe the ones their parents had no opposition to their dating. If they rejected the parent's choices once they were free of HS, I don't know. I didn't follow their lives after that beyond reading occasional stories about losing former classmates in assassination bombings or private plane crashes. What used to be called the Jet Set kids. Folks who thought nothing about catching an SST flight to Paris so they could have lunch and be back in NYC in time for tonight's show at Lincoln Center. No, women from that strata don't hang out with Snuffy Smith's who drive 30 year old pick up trucks, so no dating experience with women from that tax bracket.

You are of course aware that some today are now arguing that while he left on the trip and returned from it, he may not have actually been to all of the places he reported he had. This was a fairly safe embellishment while he was alive as very few if any were likely to visit some of the places he described during his lifetime. What is intriguing to some scholars, who for centuries accepted his accounts as gospel, is the discovery that in some places, his descriptions miss key features he had to have seen, if he had actually been the one viewing the area.
