I agree with you there. It is never ok (unless for safety reasons) to turn a child against a parent. My ex is a patholigical liar. Wouldn't believe him if he told me the sky was blue. Was not in my daughter's life for 12 years. I never said a word against him. She met him for the first time 2yrs ago. All I said to her was don't believe everything he tells you. Well she found out for herself and doesnt want anything to do with him.
Been where you have been also. I was the one who decided to leave. Your right the kids do pick up on things. Much better to live apart and be happier then together and be miserable.
