Definately say you want to date other people. But be sure you read between the lines when he answers you. He may want to date others,but won't want you to.
Does he really miss you or is he just bored and looking for some company? I have been in this situation before. It didn't work out. It sounds like you really like him though. If you really like him,I would go but don't expect to much from him. If I were you I would still date others. You never know when he will disappear again.
My daughter is now 18 and not home as much. When she was younger I kept saying I will have alone time when she grows up. Now I have too much alone time.
