But meanwhile they can do and live where ever they want!!! How fair is that? I am so glad my daughter is 18 now. I wanted to move when she was younger but he wouldn't let me, meanwhile he didn't even see her or pay child support!!!!!!
Yup my daughter's father is the same way. I think they want the kids around when there are other people there to make themselves look good. Well it back fires, my daughter wants nothing to do with her father now. And why is it that you have written that you can't move a certain distance away but they can just up and leave and move out of state?
Just as long as it wasn't anything too serious. I know we all get heated at times but there is no excuse for abusing a child. I also know that the social services can take things out of context at times also.
Not familiar with the laws in your state but I know here they cannot make her testify against her mother. If she doesn't feel comfortable then I would tell her not to go. She can also get a doctor's note stating that he/she thinks it is detrimental to her well being if she testifies. I think you gave her the right advice. Does she have a safe place to live?
Do you have his phone number? If I was in your situation I would call him. If you don't then I would email him one more time. If he doesn't pick up phone or write back I would assume it wasn't meant to be.
You may never get the "closure" you need. Sometimes it just happens that way. They disappear and won't talk to you for no reason. So I usually cry, eat ice cream and have a pity party with friends or my daughter. It is going to hurt but you eventually get over it.
Reprised most of my childhood so I would have to say the first time I felt like me was in my 30's. That's when all my reprised memories came back and I started standing up for myself. I found I can be the real me and not hide it and if nobody liked it that was fine. Well my family didn't like it so haven't spoken to them in about 10 yrs. which is fine with me.
I think depending on your upbringing, circumstances and experiences it varies when people find out who they really are. Not sure if I expressed this the right way.
