Well.....he won.......I didn't stay in the lines very well.........I never did like to stay within the lines.......pretty much my whole freak'en life...........

Well B told the manager it would be cheaper to buy the red crayons then rename the place "Green Lobster"..........and then have to change all the signs....and menus....

We went out to eat tonight at Red Lobster. We wanted to color, so BND went and got us all the "kids pack"......now here's the strange part.......it was a couple sheets of drawings and games for kids....fish stuff....lobster stuff...ya know..........but the only color crayons they had were green and yellow.....THEY DIDN'T HAVE RED........how can you call yourself "Red Lobster" and not have red crayons? I'm thinking of sending out mass emails to everybody for them to write Red Lobster and insist on more colors.........GREEN AND YELLOW......WTF?...............

Has she been vaccinated? If she has, then she should be fine....however....if she hasn't, there is a chance.......skunks carry a high rate of rabbies. DO NOT TOUCH THE SKUNK WITH YOUR HANDS........open cuts, etc......It is best to take it to the vet (the skunk) and have them send the head off.....it will cost you, but, it will be worth it.

I've had some pretty crazy nightmares lately.......not much you can do to ward them off.......except talk about the dream to someone you trust and get it out of your system. Then, when you go back to sleep....try thinking of something really pleasant..........or take about three benedryl..........you won't dream......

On a serious note...........it is imperative that you check your dog to see if she got bit.....skunks carry a very high risk of rabbies........seriously. Has your dog been vaccinated? If not, PLEASE.....check to see if she got bit.....and watch her carefully...........

Yes....tomato juice will work......but it won't get the smell out of your nose......I suggest putting metholadum under your nose to block the smell.

When I was in the veterinary business, we would decent skunks. Now, removing this "sack" is like trying to disarm a bomb......one wrong move and the sack errupts and immediately you become over-come with fumes.....eyes water....nose starts running.......and you can't run.....the patient on the table (which is a steril room in a barn) you have to stay and finish the job............... I threw away many pairs of scrubs........

You are so correct Paws......and....doctors are very quick to hand out medication and not so good about steering people in the direction of counseling. People just don't talk anymore.....they hold it all in.....and don't know how to express it.

I'll admit, after being alone for so long, it was a challenge getting used to him doing these gentlemanly things. I've gotten pretty good at letting him open the doors for me and pushing in my chair......But one day, we got to our destination and he got out of the car and I just sat there. He looked at me like..... and he got back in and said "what?".....I said....."I was waiting for you to open the door for me".............

With all due respect......once somebody reads "stupid white man"........that's where the sentence ends. What ever is said after that point is lost, because of the racial implications of the first sentence. Had you simply said "stupid man or stupid American man" it would be hard to not agree with....but once you insert the race card........the sentence changes dramatically. Maybe I am "too moral"........when it comes to this topic, I only wish there were more like me.

I wrote a hypothetical/analytical essay on this once.......from a christian point of view. (even though I am not a christian)

The essay pertained to the love we have for our children. The hypothetical was this:

Suppose God said to you, "I have this gift to give you....to love unconditionally...to protect and guide and teach the ways of life. But, some years from now, I won't say how many, I must take back this gift. Will you accept this gift, knowing you will love him with the purest of hearts and will be devestated when I take him back?"

I posed that question. There are very few people who would turn down this gift, even knowing it is highly likely that "the gift" would be taken away from them.

Love is, after all, one common denominator we all share. We all seek it....need it....crave it.......

My own quote: "it is far better to have touched the face of true love, if only for a moment in time, than to have never known it at all"

My kids were all very close in age.......the two boys played sports and my daughter cheered........I was ALWAYS going to practice or to a game or to a competition.......but finally....my oldest son got too cool for sports.......my daughter got to clumbsy to cheer........but my middle son played football from 4th grade throughout his school life......I was a football mom....I knew the sport better than some dads....I would walk the sidelines and call plays the defense was lining up in.........Ah......I miss those times.....so........in short...........I know it's a lot of work.......but when she is grown....you will look back on those times and smile............
