RE: GUN CONTROL....is it a good thing

The second amendment gives rights to lawful gun owners only....it affords nothing to criminals and illegal gun owners....thumbs up

RE: GUN CONTROL....is it a good thing

The only way you will ever get them out of criminal hands is to target the source and that's the black market and the illegal gun runners...and that's it...otherwise there will always be guns available on every street corner....thumbs up

RE: So honesty is the key is it?

Actually I look at that one as a plus....grin

RE: GUN CONTROL....is it a good thing

RE: GUN CONTROL....is it a good thing

Here are the ways to achieve citizenship in the U.S.:

Bases for Citizenship: Birth, Blood, or Naturalization:

The U.S. recognizes citizenship according to two fundamental principles: jus soli (right of birthplace), and jus sanguinis (right of blood). Under jus soli, a person receives American citizenship by virtue of being born in the United States. By contrast, jus sanguinis confers citizenship on those born to at least one U.S. citizen anywhere in the world. A person who does not qualify under either of these principles may seek U.S. citizenship through the process of naturalization.

RE: GUN CONTROL....is it a good thing

She could not have been a citizen if she was deported...they don't deport people with citizenship...they are then considered citizens of that country and no marrying someone gives you the right to live in the country...not the right of citizenship unless you make actual application for it...many people live in countries with their spouses but don't hold citizenship....thumbs up

RE: GUN CONTROL....is it a good thing

In order to vote and have the same rights as a U.S. citizen...You have to be a U.S. citizen....which means if coming from another country an application for citizenship....a green card does not make you a citizen nor confer upon you the same rights that U.S. citizens have..it only gives you the right to live and work in the country....thumbs up

RE: spring is coming!

Yayyyy...Now I can come outta hibernation.....applause cheering applause cheering laugh daisy

RE: GUN CONTROL....is it a good thing

Noooooo that should either be the responsibility of the parent or there should be some kind of gun safety course for them...BUT I don't see it being part of the school curriculum.....and wellllll I suppose it is up to individuals whether they want to own guns...but there indeed should be some guidelines like the ones I mentioned...thumbs up

RE: GUN CONTROL....is it a good thing

Guns don't kill people...People do....And people who kill are gonna find a way whether it's a gun or some other weapon....responsible gun ownership...background checks for criminal records etc and safety training should be the key...Criminals will always get guns regardless to commit crimes...it's called the black market...so when you put laws like banning gun ownership into place...all you are doing is punishing law biding citizens....thumbs up
