Naaaaaaaaa..I'm not a stats woman...those things really mean nothing to me...Just a bunch of boggled up numbers...BUT then again I am not exactly a numbers person either....
I agree...I wonder how he would feel if it were revered and it was the man getting 75 lashes instead....it's inhumane by an stretch of the imagination...I don't care what country or religion you're from...and sooooooo what it's the law of the land...there are crappy and unjust laws made everyday...the only difference is that here in North America we can challenge them and have them declared null and void in a court of law....Laws that violate a persons Constitutional rights are a prime example....
How can you be financially secure and be a stay at home mom and look after the house at the same time...we aren't miracle workers...we're mere women..Unless he wants a rich woman who will be willing to stay home and do all these things...Hellllllloooooo financial independence means having to work outside of the home 9% of the time....
Nobody can have the best of both of those worlds...Sorry not gonna happen....
Yes I do...not in an unhealthy as I am happy with myself...BUT I have to learn how to let my partner know I need them because like sweetowen...I am too independent due to being on my own for sooooo long and only counting on myself...it's hard for me to count on someone else...
Noooo the legal entitlement for broken treaties...please educate yourself before you try to tell the already educated on the matter what they're talking about...redneck...
I have read the cases myself...Do you think I am some dummy who goes by second hand news???..ummmmmmmmm no I check out and do the research myself...I am a paralegal quite capable of doing that...knowing what cases are...say..how they are interpreted...and how the decisions all came about...and what evidence was used to base the decisions on....
Helllllllooooooooooo that is in "White mans court"...Cases have been taken right up to the Supreme Court...they are not null and void...they are legal as any other binding contract that has to be fulfilled based on it's terms...and also have attached to them...any recourse for them being broken...
The past won't be forgotten until it's rectified...its not arrogance...It's legality...based on legal documents called treaties that were broken and land that was illegally by contravening the governments own established laws....
Ummmmmmmm nooooo non-taxation etc...and whatever you see as a benefit...wasn't given for nothin...all those things are based on treaties which are legal documents and were signed between various First Nations in Canada and the U.S. and the governments of the day in exchange for land etc...and it's a misnomer Natives don't pay taxes...we do...unless we both live and work on the rez...the only tax we don't pay is provincial sales tax...we pay income tax just like everybody else...and it's the majority of Native people because most people live off the reserve for one and very few people work on the reserves for 2 because there just aren't that many jobs...
I think I have an attractive personality...and I don't think I am beautiful by any means..BUT I would go with attractive depending on who was doing the looking...
And I'm sayin it doesn't matter...if there was proof..Like I said...so the governments didn't have to give the lands back and shell out millions of dollars for land-claims and land-claim settlements...they would be using it...BUT they aren't soooooo that leads me to believe it's NOT solid evidence that can be used in court or to get them outta having to settle...there are over 1000 land-claims just here in Canada alone...
It's all done through documentation and years of research to prove that they existed on the lands in question at the time the Europeans came...and that was before Canada and the U.S. were even countries...It has nothing to do with who the first person was that set foot there...it has everything to do with who was there at time the lands were taken and how long the existed there...
I know...I lived on the rez all my life and actually helped implement one of our land-claims that was won and we have another huge one being negotiated right now...as well as almost every reserve in Canada that has treaties etc that were broken...
You know I can agree with that...and those were also the generations who were taught how NOT to show their feelings because that wasn't the thing for a man to do...Sooooo I can relate to how hard it must be trying to date women who look for those kinds of things in men...not only that but many women have come out of abusive or controlling situations themselves and aren't about to go back there...soooooo I think it has to be difficult trying to figure out your role in today's relationships...but really a woman only wants to be treated the way you are....If it makes you feel bad...then it probably makes her feel bad too...Respect...appreciation...and consideration are really the main things that women want....and I think that works both ways...
