I don't think that the email should be impressing. It simply should be waking interest in the other person and wanting her to learn more about the writer. No matter if the woman or man writes first.

The issue with scammers is that the way they are "impressing" can actually impress only someone who is looking for being impressed. Most of those scammers are willing to marry in the first mail, own chains of restaurants, hotels, etc. (about which they informed in the first mail too), and are looking for real love which is the addressed woman ;))).
Additionally they are handsome, honest, generous and most caring in the World…

But I would assume that most women here know already that no-one is perfect and are looking for normal guys, so this kind of "impressing" is not only not necessary but actually suspicious.

RE: Do you ever put your pic up, and say,

90% of the time :)
And in one case I looked at a picture of myself (dancing with my boyfriend) and I saw my Mom!!!
I was 22 and got really scared that either I look so old :( or she so young (competition ;) )

RE: Are you a Snob?

Address- no (neither fancy or poor neighborhood make a difference to me).
Accent - no, mine in German must sound terrible to natives.
Language - yes, I somehow "judge" people as lazy/not willing to integrate if they live years in some country and still are not able to communicate in the local language at a minimum level.
Accent in native language - not at all, it indicates where the person comes from only.
Names they give their kids - in my country to some extend, it's just easy to notice that the less educated people the more foreign or fancy names they give their kids.
It doesn't mean we won't become friends but it indicates to me some way of thinking.

RE: Baby Basics :)

My Kid does it :)))
I appreciate it even more since it's still recent (since he started to go to Kita in September, and he stayed in Daddy place for longer)

Great feeling, maybe except the moment of running nose ;)

:) my point of view.

frustration

And it happened I do have a brother :)
Younger one.
Not sure if he has someone as he likes to be mysterious...

frustration

Now, sorry for that.
What do you respond??
Did any of those first contact lead to getting now the other person?

frustration

You are completely right: the probability it would lead anywhere is extremely low.
So, the guy just wasted the time.
And gave me a bad feeling cos I don't like to ignore people.

frustration

Because I got a lot of them in last few days.

And - if it's not clear - my motivation was to see if other people think (or not) that it is too much to ask for something more personalized ;)

frustration

Seems you have made your mind and stuck to it :)

I don't want to control people and what they say. I just want the men writing to me have some imagination, something that would wake up my interest.
Does "Hi, how are you?" wake anyones interest if the profile of the person is empty???
I don't "fink" so.
C'mon - bad with words? Copy some joke or so.

frustration

C'mon. Just read a profile and pick something up . Like someone wrote to me "no many people claim they can bite", or…
(I had this part about home made jellies, not there anymore) and someone asked me if he would get some if we become friends as he loves sweets.
Someone said he would love to cook for me as he saw somewhere I am crazy about food.
Or someone said he also wants butterflies…

"How are you doing?" Is just good start.
It needs to be follow by SOMETHING, especially if there is nothing in the profile.

I got a very charming email from some man starting that way. But later on there was introduction of himself, what he is hoping to find, and his reference to my profile. Additionally the mail was on serious/nice side but with a sense of humor or self-adressed sarcasm here and there.
Of course I answered. I just knew someone took time to write it to me. And there was a reason for that, cos he though we may have something in common. Not just next random email.

frustration

There is a reason why I am on CS. There are no guys in neighborhood ;)
So distance is not a criteria for me if someone is willing to travel.

But if the person has nothing in the profile wtf should I ask someone?
How is he?
Na ja, awesome.

frustration

I hate those mails:
"Hi, how are you (doing) ?"
or sth like that.

My usual response, if there is any, sounds "I'm (doing) well, thank you".

There is no catch to start the conversation and usually the profile has it neither.
Lot of times narratives are left empty.
I am lucky if there is a picture ;)
And then guys complain that women do not respond…

Am I really too demanding?

RE: What's Cookin', Good Lookin'?

I have a lot of favorite recipes. But I don't like to repeat the dish too often. That's why I save the favorite recipes in my comp usually.
Last favorite fast-food is pasta with red onion, cherry tomatoes, spinach and montasio cheese. Or home made Lemon Curd (with Thermomix).
Guinea-flow broth turned to be great btw, and the cooked meat I used for a salad with mayo, which was a good speedy dish when I was about to starve.
My friend tell me I do better Kimbap than most of the Korean people.
And I dare to say that I make awesome paella.
The Boston Clams Chowder is also one of my favorite.
And my italian friend says I make great hokkaido risotto.
Always great turnes Lamb-veggie tagin.

Choose one :)
or tell me which type of kitchen you like.

RE: Don't you worry you'll do something crazy if drink lots(or someone to you)?

I can copy-paste:
"Nope, I only do stupid things when I'm sober.
Not big into drinking myself and know when to stop - I find it off-putting if someone doesn't. Not much sympathy with people who drink themselves senseless tbh. "

I don't need alcohol to do crazy things if I am up to doing them.
I like to do things because I want them not because I am drunk.
I also hate to feel being ashamed or regret things.
And after alcohol I am much more reserved and cautious. I just know I can not fully trust myself, even if it was two glasses. There is a red light flashing in my head.

Do you think picture in your profile helps you to be found by the "right ones".

Hey Alexandro, thanks :)
I will keep it in mind.
I believe my pronunciation is something which will need improvement at some point. For now I just need to study more I guess.

Of course I look at them, I touch them and most important… I smell them!
Yeah, they need to feel and smell good.
If they would talk we would probably have conversation as well ;)

Yea, this crazy girl smelling the fruits it's me
rolling on the floor laughing

We humans are visual creatures.....

Hey, I do agree we are visual. Of course I like that handsome guys look nice on the pictures. But I love that the normal or not so handsome guys look beautiful when they are happy.

So from the "surface" I expect the guy not to be terrifying, or disgusting; be few cm taller than me, have face-expressions and sparks in the eyes when he talks, and that he likes himself.
If I would like his personality I would most probably like his look.

Anyway, I find, the "not so visible" more important.

No way you Trueheart! :)
I meant the guy from the email, of course.

Do you think picture in your profile helps you to be found by the "right ones".

No way Trueheart. I am actually removing my picture in next few days (the experiment if for the fixed period). No need to attract those I am not looking for :)
And less jerks like the one today. Wrrrr…

RE: University education

I love DUAL-HOCHSCHULE system in Germany.
To register you need to find a company who would hire you for the time of studies.
3 years for Bachelor degree.
The system is made either 1 mo school followed by 1 mo work, 3mo/3mo or 6mo/6mo. And you are paid monthly starting at ~800euro! (depends, a person I know studies tourism, she has a room and food in a hotel and she gets 500euro/month).

When you graduate you have:
a) practical work experience
b) theoretical knowledge
c) high education degree (Bachelor, Eng).
d) clear back account
e) very high chance for being employed by the company you worked for or high chance for new job.

I regret I did not know about this system before.
The biggest difficulty is to find the company.
The nicest of it: for most schools the company doesn't need to be placed in Germany.

RE: ~Christmas~

From the things you can buy...
1. Pimsleur French Unlimited 1-3
2. Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer with all those crazy attachments (want it for long time now but it always looks crazy expensive to me)
3. Magnetic Tripod for iPhone 4s (would be useful)
4. 3 room apartment for rent in reasonable price in the neighborhood I live in!!! (need it before 1.3.15 and it doesn't look good, I'm telling you - anyone here having a nice place in Freiburg?)
5. Full Option Subaru Forester or similar car with big behind/trunk so I could get rid of my old car (had flat tire this week :( ).
6. Ticket with the first Price in lotto so I could buy all those things myself. And some other nice things for others.
7. Plus some nice and loud tool like Makita for fun.

From other things you cannot buy…
guess!
:)))

Anyone can give me a good advice on the guinea-fowl stock?

I think have a solution.
This one went for a broth.
It's awesome :).
The bird itself is also good. It was cooked about 7 hours on very low fire. Soft, humid.
Good for cold weather outside.

But I have another in the freezer. This one I am going to bake for a Christmas Eve. Covered with bacon. with some things inside. Probably apples :)))

Im getting hungry again.
