RE: What attracts u to ur possible life partner?

all mentioned plus:
chemistry
sense of humor
empathy (and ability to take care of others)
looking for and finding solutions instead for searching for problems
positive thinking
short memory for bad things and great for beautiful moments

No-one is perfect but the more of those above present the bigger chances we will get along in a long term, when the chemistry level won't be at the pick any longer.

RE: Ok Women You Knew This Already

I have to take a look on this year Darwin Awards. Maybe it will cheer me up :)

RE: what type of accomodation are u in currently.

Of course they do.
Let's arrange it ;)

RE: Dating & new relationships

We in EU don't have something like background check.
So we trust our instinct.
If someone would do the background check on me in US it would mean he distrust me from the very beginning and I would not see any future for this relation.

You americans are very suspicious. It's nothing bad, but it shows you assume the worst-case scenario.

RE: Baby Basics :)

Smart guy :)
Will try!

HELP NEEDED

Can one tell me what did you use by teething.
I almost did not sleep tonight because of the concert my son gave.
Hours long...
Nothing I have at home or tried worked. Not even the maximum dosage of painkiller.

Suggestions for upcoming nights?
Please...

A perfect man??? ;)

I just reported myself.
So, don't be surprised if the poll disappears.

See you ;)))

A perfect man??? ;)

But I haven't name him.
But you are right.
I need to remove it.
Will do after I pick up my own "not-so-perfect-boy" from nursery ;)

RE: You are single person and someone with 3 or 4 children just buzzed you here

I would say that I would be happy to move to his country ;)
It would be cheaper for a visa for 2 people...

RE: You are single person and someone with 3 or 4 children just buzzed you here

I don't mind the kids, even several. I always wanted to have a big family. From other hand, I don't plan to go trough several pregnancies myself at my age. One or two maximum.
Yet, currently I am not in the situation that I can provide for 3 more kids without lowering the life quality of my own.
If the person has means for the kids (there must be a father or mother of the child obliged to provide for the kid) then why not?
With time they will be just part of the family, so if the economy is shared, the expenses too. Yet, I do expect my ex to cover some expenses of our son till he gets independent, so I would expect the other parent of the kids to cover some if he has means.
Until there would be a moment when I would officially adopt the kids.

RE: Would you give up a relationship for your dog?

As my to-be-my-ex-mother-in-law said to me once "The dog belongs to the family for years" And I was only recently married to her son…
And not that I didn't like the dog, I am simply allergic to dogs and asked if he can stay outside the room for the meal...
I would guess a lot of people would choose a dog.

But there is this nice man, whom I pointed out that I am allergic to dogs, who wrote me that for love he would find his dogs a nice new house :), so there are also people who would give up a dog.
:)))

RE: We don't choose who we fall in love with.

Exactly.
But all within our personal criteria.

RE: We don't choose who we fall in love with.

Exactly.
But all within our personal criteria.

RE: We don't choose who we fall in love with.

And that's perfect intro. Although I do think that also the intial attraction is "subsciously" controlled to some extend. Like I could never felt attracted for a guy smelling like cigarets.

Moreover, there are more "down to earth" things, which can kill or make the initial attraction flourish. And it all depends on our personal criteria, so in this way we do control with who we fell in love. However, we don't do it consciously in most of the cases, as we let the adrenaline and other hormones take the lead.
It's simply because our brains are lazy and know that want simply want to be loved.

RE: The Seat You Choose On An Airplane Tells Something About You

For short flights of known destination & when I don't have checked language: isle. I want to be out asap, and not bother someone if I want to go to the restroom or so.

For long time: window. I am sure I am going to sleep. I am going to put a pillow on the side & I don't want anyone to bother me. There is also a bigger chance for amazing views when you travel to new destinations.

Halal & Pork

I am pretty sure you are right. And that he/she would not insist on you not eating it
Yet, he could request you do not cook it at home, if e.g. he cannot tolerate the smell (I know some vegetarian who don't like meat smell, and I don't like the smell of the pork myself, except bacon & pata negra)
But if you like to cook that could be a serious restriction on your invention (e.g. I am planning to bake a guinea flow covered in bacon stripes, as it seems to be one of the best recipes I found.

Halal & Pork

you naughty boy
I never heard that muslim cannot touch pork. I just heard they are not allowed to eat it.

Halal & Pork

Just to add.
When my ex (gluten- intolerant) moved out, I went to the kitchen and baked. I finally felt that I got back my freedom & joy from cooking and baking.
;)

Halal & Pork

Imagine: There is this nice guy/girl writing to you few months already wanting to travel long distance just to meet you.
He/she is smart, funny, … .
And opened to the possibility to move to your town if it would turned out you would fell in love together.

There is only one "problem": food. He/She is muslim (or not in case you are).
And you love food & good alcohol wine You just love bacon. C'mmon, is there any meat product better that crisp bacon? (Well, there actually is: pata negra de bellota. And few smaller products ;)) )

Giving that both of you are looking for some serious relation you would assume that if you meet, have great time, fell in love,… you would one day move in together.
And live happily ever after heart wings
Unless...
Somehow I can not imagine a house of a muslim where it smells like fried bacon, and there is a half of the cured pig leg taking half of the countertop. Do you? ;)
doh

It may be I am exaggerating. Or not...
Do you have any experience with inter-religious (muslim, jewish, non believers, etc), food conflict in the couple? Was it easy to give up on products you like?
If not how would you go about it yourself?

RE: Eye

I think the question should be more what should you do next?
There are a lot of guys catching the eye. But those who would have courage to come & start a conversation or ask for a date are rare.
And wanted! ;)

RE: What did Santa bring?

sorry for bad spelling.
I got up 5:30am…
:(

RE: What did Santa bring?

In my family we used to make a wish-list with priorities. Sometimes we would put money together to get the person what she needs or really wants.
But in general there ware a lot of small gifts for Christmas (some silly).
I got and gave different things but the best always were games for all family: we would spend hours playing together.

This year my kid is going to get 3-dimentional wood puzzles (shapes) and maybe some Bosh workshop or tool for Kids as he is trying to get into my tools drawers recently. Those are going to be second-hand as I don't think he needs gifts for more than 30euro. Sth like:

But he is smile and he doesn't care except for electronics: he nows perfectly well that my mobile is better than his one, tablet better than mobile, and my computer better than tablet. He is 18mo!!!

The only expensive gift this year will get my mom as I think she needs it. She will get Thermomix, which I got 3 months ago already looking for a good deal.
Getting into debt for Christmas for such expensive gift sounds crazy to me.
I hope I'll teach my son to get joy from small things.
