RE: Where has Obama Failed miserably?

What are you suggesting? Nuke North Korea? Attack the world's 4th largest army? Call them names?

RE: Moonwalker leaves the stage

Boring as hell in his last decade or more I am afraid! dunno

RE: ...america is a horror movie.

America a horror movie? I think you have too many random thoughts going through your head! Less posting and more fresh air I recommend! professor

RE: One of our friends in hospital ....

Please add Fallingman to that list and also I feel I can speak for Danish Dude too!!! laugh Tell Conrad the Dude misses him too! (that should finish off the new heart valves pretty effectively) wave

RE: Where is the coffee shop these days???

Where is Conrad? Is he unwell? I wondered where the grumpy old curmudgeon had gone lately! Is he in hospital? Tell me where he is so I can send Danish Dude with some flowers and grapes. I assumed he had gone on some kind of Ayn Rand pilgrimage for the summer.

dunno

RE: Hands up - who's watching MJ'S memorial service?

thumbs up

RE: Moonwalker leaves the stage

thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up

RE: Michael Jackson......

He was well known, his death was noteworthy and sad. We have noted it and been sad for a moment. That's the appropriate level of engagement. Now we should move on and worry about the living and other deserving causes.

RE: should michael jackson be made a saint like jade goody ?

I think they should both be made saints in minor celebrity heaven. Then the door should be locked and the key lost.

Which do you prefer?

RE: men opinions lol

The reason for the prejudice is that others recognise that redheads are in fact the master race and they don't want to give them a chance to get too far ahead of the rabble! professor

RE: Is america the most hated country? If yes, what can they do about it? -positive comments please?

RE: What has Obama Accomplished so far?

I can understand that US citizens might feel that. But if one of your Commander in Chief's roles is to improve your security, making friends as opposed to enemies is a good place to start.

I am sure many here will explain how good/disasterous his US economic policy is, but I don't see reason to think your Government isn't trying hard. It is the contempt shown by some of your fellow citizens for EVERYTHING that he or his Government might try that baffles me.

RE: Can anybody prove Christians exist?

You need a few bigger thoughts....mind you, you are not alone in that!

RE: What has Obama Accomplished so far?

The audience for the Obama threads, Zee, aren't interested in promoting him or seeing the good in him (except for Dude). Mostly it is right wing doomsayers who have been hostile to him since day 1 or before....for various reasons some rational and some completely irrational. Most of the Obama defenders in here just say give him a chance and that he seems better than the last guy. They defend against the ridiculously high hatred levels from some Americans for their own President. They DON'T think Obama is god's gift, despite what the haters say here. So this thread will only really draw the usual suspects.

For me, he has already improved American standing in the world which will help with your security in the longer run. The "apologising" that some on here think is national betrayal, is helpful in showing humility and fairness and gives him and the US credibility when they take a moral stance on issues. After Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo and Baghram the US had no standing with which to lecture others on human rights.
