Of course it is wrong...but it is a guilty pleasure. Where else would YOU, for example, be able to develop such an all encompassing mad philosophy with a suitably ecclectic international audience? The coffee houses of cenral europe are not what they were. Also my two hobbies - word games and fighting with concrete headed Republicans - are available in the same place.
I don't think he or anyone else is coming back but if he did he might create threads like this one to amuse himself and to check out whose dinner invitations to turn down. After all, he'd say to himself, I've only one life so why spend it with a bunch of wing nuts?!
I think this is great. More Sarah Palin please. It give Obama a breathing space. She is not credible on any level. She said in her speech that she had explained her reasons for resigning and nobody yet has worked out where she said it. She exploited her kids yet again....mind you she is not alone in that, but as a family values candidate she should have more decency...and she had a problem in 08 (no experience)which will only get worse now that she is no longer eye-balling the Russians
However, I would be amazed if the Republicans adopted her as a leader, it is playing to their safe hard base and alienating ALL the swing voters they need to convince that they are safe to put back in power.
So, sadly, Democrats I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet. The Republicans may lack humility and insight...but they are not quite so cracked as to go for Palin. I think those of them who worked with her in 08 will stop her before it is too late for the GOP
Actually I see where you are coming from. However, I learned in economics (the little I know) that consumption taxes are regressive and hit the poor more than the rich. That is why the rich favour them and avoid income taxes like the plague!
