I don't dispute that you had Fybromyalgia. I had it too. Western medicine and diet cured mine, as well as 2 forms of arthritis. Generalised statements just get my last nerve in that they include statements that people misinterpret. I believe words are very important and should be thought about carefully before wild statements are thrown about. I find that generalisations never come to good.
We have access to, and many here even buy and eat, pretty much the same food you do. Same foods packaged from the same sources all over the world. Globalisation means exactly that, globally accessible trash. It beats me why in America or Canada, some people still think that they are the only food victims in the world.
You got the wrong end of the stick too, in that I was not insulted by what she said about what the food contained. I ALREADY KNEW THAT! The insult was in presuming that no one knew that except her, (and now you). It would appear that a little knowledge IS a dangerous thing.
The insult was in presupposing that no one knows anything about this subject but yourself. If, as you said Fybromyalgia is "incurable", then even with your talents you wouldn't have found the "cure".
I have raised 3 kids and 5 foster kids all with life-threatening allergies and intolerances to food additives, so to start your missive with the words "IF you knew ANYTHING about...etc" is highly insulting.
Likewise to presume that Americans or all classes of people you mentioned (by repeating someone else's ignorance), know nothing about what they eat, is also insulting.
I understand that you may have the best of intentions in stating what you did, but we are not all ignorant of what goes into food, worldwide. Some choose to ignore the warnings, and some don't care and some of us just eat what is good for us and stay healthy and we hav e been doing it for a lifetime.
Haven't come accross a thread that insulted a nation in general and so many classes or people in so few sentences........ Much too many generalisations and assumptions here. Is this allowed?
