I question myself on that same issue...think my ship sailed with yours.
However.....would adoption be an option? Although he wouldn't be the biological father that's not what a father is about...it's the love, care & devotion given to the child. Something to think about before you toss away something that might be the best thing since sliced bread.

As for the plateau....I've been on one myself. I know part of the reason is because I've been fudging a little, which is a good thing because it shows that once I get to where I want to be I should be able to fudge a little and not gain.....I've also slacked off a little on the workouts...of course it's summer so I've switched to working out in the mornings, which doesn't give me much time to vary my routine because I have to get to work on time (I don't like working out in the heat). Once cooler weather sets back in I'll be able to ramp it up again after work. But for now, as long as I'm maintaining, it's a good thing. So don't beat yourself up Ella...oh yeah, and you might want to make sure that you're taking in at least 1,200 calories a day...any less than that isn't good for you (as found in the Weight-Loss Bible by Betsy A. Hornick, M.S., R.D....as in registered dietitian).
When it's time for the Redding Rodeo, which usually lasts 3 days, at least one day will be labeled "tough enough to wear pink" day in support of finding a cure for breast cancer.
Pink shorts on a guy though....not for me.
A pink dress shirt with a suit, as long as it's not hot pink, can look very nice (although I know that there are some men who will disagree with that...instead of a pink shirt with a gray suit they'd prefer to wear a black shirt...which would look good too).
Anything else a guy would wear in pink...doesn't really do it for me.
In answer to the question...I've met one guy from here, spent the weekend with him....it didn't last the distance.
I've met guys from other sites, and they usually don't get past the first date. Recently met a guy off another site & it actually got to 4 dates before it fizzeled.....at least I think it's fizzeled....

I own a few thongs, the look pretty good under tight slacks or skirts. Even got brave enough to wear one once out dancing in a western skirt, doing a spin that skirt flares out, depending on the angle a guy would've gotten an eye full...lol
But, back to the OP.....What's turned me off on a first date.... .....Not showing up .....Trying to get all kissy face when I'm pushing away .....Telling me you don't smoke & when I do kiss you find out you lied .....Being a slob when you eat .....Telling me I should dress differently, wear a brighter color of nail polish, etc. .....Checking out other women like you're looking for your next prey
I also agree that actions speak volumes. And it gets confusing for me when the actions have initially been there & then suddenly they're gone. So I end up wondering if I need to step it up or step back. I'm sooooooooooo confused....lol
Like someone else said....I just do it...no one else but me, so if I don't get it done, no one else will.
Of course right now I'll only actually "work" while it's cool, so I try to get to it by 7am (that's for yardwork & such). I finally got my fence all stained....took me about 5 mornings & over 2 gallons, but it's done. Next is getting the outside of the house ready to paint.
Haven't had a breakdown, nor been on medication, although I did go to a psychologist for a couple months (thinking I was depressed) back in 1985 I think. He'd asked me if I wanted medication & I told him no. I ended the sessions because I didn't feel they were doing anything "spectacular".
Back in 2002 or 2003 I had to get a psych evaluation done for court (ex was trying to imply that I was mentally ill without stating a specific symtom). Psychiatrist & Psychologist both evaluated me & came up with "nothing wrong with this woman...above average intelligence....and some stress is to be expected with what she's being put through". Ex didn't like the result...lol
I sometimes joke with a new date who's made the comment about "psycho's" that I have certification that I'm not...lol
However, from what I understand, both of my boys have been on suicide watch at least once since they've been living with their dad. Youngest one is on Risperdahl & Mitrazipine. If I had my way they wouldn't be on any meds.....but.....I've been cut out so I have no say.
Geez...looking back at all the garbage I've been through I consider myself extremely lucky that I haven't gone off the deep end & required hospitalization.
As everyone has said...continue on with your normal routine....I know, sometimes it's easier said than done (going through that myself...lol). Just beware of some of those times when you may be doing something and your mind starts wandering...might end up in worse shape (talking from experience with the solitude while staining my fence...lol)
House ring has 8 keys on it... ....side entry door ....side, back & front entry security screens ....back door ....master lock for the garage ....hhmm...not sure what that one is for ....parents house ....side garage door ....old key for the back security screen ....whistle ....picture of youngest son
Work ring has 4 keys on it... ....master ....gate ....office door (which I don't need since I have a master) ....student records room
What I found funny at the previous school I worked at, they wouldn't check out a master key to me, yet I had a key to the store room and a key to the key cabinet where all the other keys were kept
I imagine you probably have higher humidity than here in Northern California....although right now we supposedly have some tropical air coming up from the south.....that's why there's so much smoke....last weekend we had about 1,000 lightning strikes on Saturday from a wonderful thunder storm (I sat out & watched it out the back gate). There's over 150 fires in my area alone.
But yeah....summer up here usually has quite a few days that are 100 degrees or higher. Lucky for me today my air didn't konk out like it did the last weekend we had over 100.
