Actually, I enjoy my back yard more than any room in the house...large shade trees and usually a breeze...somewhat tranquil. I just look funny taking my desktop outside...
I think the inconvenient truth that bothers me is that Gore and his attorneys made every effort they could in order to keep the military vote from being counted. They backed off once it got media play.
The 3rd inconvenient truth is that the ballots in Florida were designed by the Democrats (and that is a clear fact). If they couldn't design a user friendly ballot for their constinuency....
The 4th inconvenient truth; When is the last time a Presidential candidate couldn't carry his home state. That speaks volumes...
I think a lot of people visits to graves for various reasons. Sometimes it to make peace, sometimes it's to just unload...and sometimes it's just to let them know they're missed. It's a very personal thing.
My stillborn son, Travis gets visited yearly just to check in... We do what we need to do to help make sense of things...
With all due respect, the earth does "cycle"...hot and cold periods... I'm not sure mankind can control what the earth does naturally? That's a rather grandious thought.
Has anyone noted that the new "speak" is getting away from global warming to "climate change"? That way the fearmongers are covered if the earth does an about face~
As posted earlier...we do have a responsibility to "right things"...but not be fanatical about it.
Andddddddddd on a slightly more serious note, it's a good way to "meet" women/men and pick up on their personalities. Lots of different threads...some serious, some goofy...but usually entertaining.

Probably the first time I've agreed w/ya on anything, but your point is very good. However, I don't think we want forced abortions, like in China. That doesn't strike me as civilized. Does create a quandry.
