I may have to do that in my home. My 17 yr old son and my 28 yr old niece are in a race to see who would fall down the steps first because they are texting.
How about the parents dressed in the finest clothes and expensive jewelry and highest priced shoes....then the children dressed in little better than rags.
When parents dress their little girls like cheap floozies with diva, princess or hot written across their butts. Then they wonder why the perverts stare and worse.
People who text while driving. As if talking on the cell phone wasn't bad enough.
People who cough or sneeze in their hands then off them to shake or open a door or touch some other common public item with out washing first.
Seeing how my knight and his horse took a wrong turn on the edge of a cliff over looking the ocean. I suppose that means I am not taken. Unless said horse can swim well enough to carry a knight in full armor, then I am likely to remain so for some time yet to come.
Sorry I didn't take the time to read all 20 or so pages of this. I wanted to post my reason for not posting to often. I have found that there are certain regulars who seem to find pleasure in trying to embarrass or totally humiliating newer or not so familiar members. If the opinion stated is not theirs or close to theirs then they batter the offending member. Trust me I have been the victim to some of these tongue lashings. I have prided myself in treating everyone as fairly as possible. I feel everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect until they prove otherwise. If certain regulars would look in the mirror and ask...."Would I like being talked down to or battered like that? " they would learn it really isn't much fun. Now this is just my opinion....based on facts of which I have personally witnessed. So if you certain people are out there....I am ready for the battering....but be forewarned I will not run this time.
The idea of Hilary picking Bill as a running mate was already discussed. She can't legally do it, because of term limits. Bill can not be president again. That is a fact that can't be denied. It would take to much time to try and change the laws governing this.
I will laugh my butt off if after the nomination has been made by the Democratic party. Whether Clinton or Obama, the other is asked to be the running mate. You want to talk flip flopping.
I can't add any lyrics from Hank Williams or Marty Robbins, but I wanted to thank you all for sending me on a trip down memory lane. My all time favorite country vocalist was Patsy Cline. What a voice she had. Yet another great performer gone way too soon.
I think if you are born in the USA then you are a true American. It doesn't matter if your heritage comes from another country. America is the great melting pot. I personally have Irish and native American blood, but I always write in American when asked nationality. That is what I am 100% American and proud of it.
Sweetheart, Obama, claims to not be Muslim now, but yes he was raised Muslim and only converted around the time politics entered his mind.
I am not a bush supporter, but I am not for Clinton or Obama, as in past elections, the best canidates aren't running. They are smart enough to know that if you are honest and truly for the people, you are unelectable.

I have very long hair right now. I am about to go have it cut off. I have wore my hair at just about all lenghts. My niece was diagnosed with Cancer 7 years ago, so I started to grow it long again, no perms or dyes. This way I could donate it to her when she lost her hair. She wanted blonde hair, mine is medium brown. I have since donated it to "Locks of Love" for young Cancer fighters. I think this will be my last donation for a while. I look much better with a little curl in it, and have to get rid of the tiny streak of grey right in the front.
I think a man should let a woman decide what way to wear her hair. Mid back is still long.
I will pipe in and voice my opinion even though I know I will probably be crucified for thinking. My personal preference in men as far as muscles are concerned is this. I love a man with strong arms. Arms that can hold me and make me feel safe, not hold me and make me wonder when I will be crushed to death. I think if a mans chest is bigger than mine, I want no part of it. I have found most of these muscle builder types are vain, shallow people. The beautiful people of the world. The vast majority of these so called beautiful people have the uglest hearts, and attitudes. They think they are God's gift to the world. The true God's gift is a gentle heart. Kind, gentle yet strong enough to protect. I can see the beauty in a 98 lb weakling just as easy as I can in someone that is ripped. The heart has to be there. I tend to not even give the muscle bound type a second look. Sorry EAstbayRay. In my travels on this site, I always thought you were nice looking, because you have a great picture. I can't tell you are a body builder, just a nice face.

I agree. Imigrants are welcome. Illegal aliens are different. In NC. where you are people know all about that. I lived in Richlands, NC. and worked in MT. Olive. In the plant I worked the majority of workers were aliens bussed in by the company from Mexico. They bussed them in in shifts of like 3 months. They were given trailers to live in on the plant property and a tiny wage. They were given everything they needed to the point they really never needed to leave the property during their time there. I also cropped tobacco while down there and it was cheaper for the farmers to hire aliens rather than locals. I worked it for free for the experience. I enjoyed the hard work and would do it agian it I still lived there, but these are all jobs that the people down there are willing to do, but are not getting hired. Yes there are plenty of people starving in western countys. It is a hidden sin. No one wants to admit the homeless and starving population because it looks bad on the countrys. There are children in our country needing homes, and plenty of people who would love to give them homes, but can't afford to. When you try to raise a family of 6 on $7.00 an hour without benifits, then you can say people in western countrys are selfish and worried about themselves, because us small people are worried about our own. Why should we help the world, when we do we are scorned. No matter what the western countrys do it is wrong. Whether it is the right thing or not. Sorry no disrespect meant in the rant, but I said my peace. GOD BLESS THE USA.
I agree, phylann. My parents had the ever elusive true love. They have been married for 52 years and they still act like giddy school kids. They hold each others hand and are so cute. I fear when I lose one, I will lose the other not long after. They have the kind of love that without the other they couldn't survive. They are each 1 half of the whole.
I have stopped looking for true love. It will find me when it is ready to find me. If I never find it at least I will have made some great friends along the way.
Oh darlin' it does. It really does. What I don't understand is, why something so sweet can be the biggest pain in your life. How can something that can have flying through the air in total bliss, turn into something that hurts so bad you feel like you have been thrashed against the rocks by a continuosly rolling wave.
don't get me wrong if love were to find me again I would jump in and enjoy the ride for however long I am blessed with it. I will make sure that the blinders are left off this time so maybe I can see the rocks coming.
