Wow, that was a long time ago. I was in 8th grade and worked at a grocery store after school and a bicycle shop on the weekends. I don't remember how much those first paychecks were but to me it was a ton of loot!

At 14 I was a "carhop" at a drive-in (yes, on rollerskates).. GOD, I am old....
went around and Shoveled sidewalks for 10 bucks a pop, and and mowed lawns in the summer for 10 bucks a pop, I was a self made man back then..... by 16 I wanted to open my own company.
Drive-in restaurant. Pepole would be waited on and eat in their cars. Way before you were born my dear.
At 15 I was a cook, 18 I had joined the army (and got to "play" in jungles) because I did not like being told what to do. Hence, my saying that I am 2 fries short of a "Happy Meal".. At 22 I owned a hotel (Regan's Olde Heritage Inn, Hebron, Indiana). Then a trucking company. Then life happened...........
