I started working at a local car wash when I was 16. Whenever I am back in Detroit for work, I always wash the rental car there - kind of to remind me from whence I came. smoking

Wow, that was a long time ago. I was in 8th grade and worked at a grocery store after school and a bicycle shop on the weekends. I don't remember how much those first paychecks were but to me it was a ton of loot! grin

Drive-in restaurant. Pepole would be waited on and eat in their cars. Way before you were born my dear.

At 15 I was a cook, 18 I had joined the army (and got to "play" in jungles) because I did not like being told what to do. Hence, my saying that I am 2 fries short of a "Happy Meal".. At 22 I owned a hotel (Regan's Olde Heritage Inn, Hebron, Indiana). Then a trucking company. Then life happened...........sigh

Life is good......wink
