I,m probably the last living person to see Slumdog Millionaire.Whatever,watch it,it is good.

....what,s it like,that is the tv prgs you get in your country of choice?

Here in Spain daytime and evening tv is crap.However in the wee small hours it gets better with good films and docs (in Spanish,of course).Problem is that films have lots of commercial breaks and each one lasts for twenty minutes,by which time I,ve dropped off or lost the will to live.Hence my local video club does a roaring trade.Also,it really is quite disgraceful that Spanish tv cut all the closing credits if a film is not Spanish.

One,being involved in film making I do want to see who did what.

Two,I like the closing credits for graphic study or any extra bits the film makers included.

Finally,all Spanish film cd,s hammer home anti piracy issues stating how important it is for the producers to get credit for their work,yet Spanish tv denies those self same people the public credit they are entitled to.

No illegal immigrant would choose to become such if things were better in his home country than in his target country. In their circumstances I would do exactly the same. We are all bloody great hypocrits,we all change jobs for a better life,we change were we live,we all want to better ourselves,so why not them ? Do the Africans.Romanians,Russians,etc not love their children too ?

People choose to enter illegally because they are prevented from entering legally. We can legalise entry,it is our choice.Or we can do more to help them to make their country of origin better so that they do not want to leave. And,tackling Smokey,s comments, we can improve social security systems so that only those who put in can take out,that means becoming legal,which is something we can help them to do.

Yes we do impoverish other countries in a great many ways,economically,industrially,socially.....jmo

The biggest challenge today is in fact illegal immigration.The problem is that illegal immigrants live on the periphary,they are marginalised.This alone is the cause of a great many social problems.What we need is greater controls and an attempt at inclusion.

Also,many illegal immigrants take from the social systems that we have(social security,health,etc)but contribute nothing.So I say open the doors have an amnesty make em all legal an make em all pay for what they get out.

Of course there are bigger international issues.The West deliberately keeps third world countries impoverished because it is economically convenient to do so.We can,t really blame people for wanting to escape the impoverishment that we have forced upon them.

This is such a big subject,but I need to go an have that bacon sarny or I,ll die.

Had depression twice,both post divorce. Can,t really explain it other than you feel that the weight of the whole universe is pushing down on you and is trying to crush you to nothing.The first was the worst.I really ought to have been sectioned.What saved me ? Time and the love of a truly wondeful mother (81 this weekend and a true inspiration).

Actually,both times the whole universe,that is to say my world in the form of my two ex wives really was trying to crush me to nothing.Still not sure why ex,s just want to really destroy you and whilst they might fail,can still cause you an awful lot of damage. Sadly,they do not always fail,this type of behaviour kills people.Sometimes the perpetrators get themselves killed too.

...oh yes I am.I have thought about this for a long time and I have finally decided to commit CS suicide,that is to say to kill off the caricature of me I have created here.I have lots of reasons,all good.

1.I don,t want to have to tell any more lesbians I am a bloke.

2.I want to dedicate the finite energy I have to other professional and personal interests.

3.I have certain unresolved and worsening health issues,related to the stress I have had to endure this last five years,related to my divorce,related to my ex and her erstwhile family of outlaws,etc,etc.

4.I want to re-enter the real world completely.

5.Elley has become a bit of a monster who at times oversteps the mark and I find it difficult to exercise the self control here that is so easily done in real life.

I have had a great time here and although there are creepies about,there are also lots of really good folk.I,ve learnt a lot,I,ve had a laugh,I,ve been provoked and challenged and stimulated on a very wide range of interesting issues. For my part I have probably ruffled a feather or two,or at least elley has.

So to all those who I got on with,see ya on the beach,to all those I didn,t,will not see ya on the beach.I,ll not mention any names as if I miss one,which I will,they,ll get all uppity etc.

I hope you all find what you are looking for,whatever it is.As for me,I really didn,t know what to expect when I cam here a year or two ago.What I do know is that I have gained many new perspectives,some of them really quite warped and that like. I think overall my life has been better for having been here,in many ways it has helped me to get through what has been a truly horrendous divorce. So to all of you who have helped,even if it has been only in a small way,I thank you very much indeed. Be good and bye bye.

Ok,enuff.I,ll tell a funny true story.

Many years ago (too many)I had a beautiful golden Labrador which I used to take for walkies.He was such a big strong dog I had to use a metal lead.One day as we approach a street lamp I can hear a buzzing,getting softly louder as we approach,but I don,t pay it too much mind.I effin well should have done. Dog decides to take a leak at said lamp and god knows how many thousand volts shoot up through his pee an his tidger,through his body,right up metal lead.....I went into apoleptic kin shock.All my muscles tensed an locked up,hair stood on end,clothes started to kin fry.And although by this time I had a dim awareness of what was happening I was powerless to do owt about it.Then suddenly the dog stopped pee-in,broke contact,yelped an I fell in a heap on the flaw cursin him an threatening to have him curtailed.

Re depression,I had it,passed round the dark side of the moon and thank god came out the other side.I really cannot find sufficient words to describe the really deep depression I had after my first divorce and I do not want to recount it neither.Much too painful.

Yes,the best is yet to come and now here I am enjoying it.Life is truly amazing and wonderful and I really wish,like the Catcher in the Rye,that I could do something to help others to come through that which is truly horrendous.

Why I am not looking for a woman,but especially here.

I was chatting with a very good friend last night,here is his experience and mine.

Him:he hooked up with somebody who eventually wanted to meet.So they did and she was really distant.So he asked what the problem was and she told him that she was also in touch with another guy who she had not yet met and she she wanted to see both first.He said it was like being interviewed for a job.

Me:I,ve had a couple of contacts (not at the same time).The first one wanted to know if I smoked,drank alcohol or had tatoos. I mentioned this one before to all of you.Tatoos no, drink and smoke sometimes.She suddenly disappeared without so much as a bye your leave.

Second one suggested we meet,I agreed but had to cancel a week before due to my ex changing visiting arrangements for that weekend.She got a strop on and disappeared.Six months later I got an email out of the blue.

" Just clearing out all my old rubbish at CS and came across your name,wondering if you are still around." How not to get a date.

Finally,started getting emails,then direct contact, from somebody who was incredibly hot to trot. She said it didn,t matter that I had no photo up as she was not that shallow to judge a person on their looks,it was the person themselves that mattered most.Great.Arranged to meet,but she asked if I would send a photo just to know what I looked like.Fine,so I did it.Dropped me like a hot brick.Got an email saying I wasn,t her type and then just disappeared.

So sorry ladies,bit of a chat in the forums fine,anything else forget,I,ll not have my precious time wasted by this sort of nonsense.
