Damn. I missed bidding on a local white schoolhouse. If only I'd known, I would've purchased it, painted it green, and got a ton of govt. money!

Oh, your faith in government intervention is touching, Tony. I recall a similar upsurge of faith during Lyndon Johnson's tenure - his Great Welfare dreams such as his urban renewel.

It was a great, revolutionary plan to rebuild our poor's world from the ground up under the tutelage of the USG. Unfortunately, his massive influx of money into destroying old buildings and constructing new dwellings for the poor culminated in something called "the projects." And we all saw how those turned out. The worst ghettos in American history were created.

Well, they did do that modification of your photo, Laura. Now you look like you're caught in either a time-warp or the photographer's blurring your image like they do to protect the innocent (or someone who hasn't signed off on the photo). Weird, but oddly appealing somehow...

Well, I hope they stop soon. I'm getting freaked out in this Tim Burton nightmare (I found the animation in that movie creepy, btw.)
