If you're seeing the same starkly skeletal screen that I'm seeing, with tiny photos and print and lots of scrolling required to get to wherever you want to go...I can't imagine anyone preferring this to the old format. The old format was warm and welcoming and vibrant - but this is to me like a sterile room you awaken to in the future after 1000 years of suspended animation.
Yesterday, when this abomination first appeared, I assumed it was some kind of programming implosion (since nothing quite worked), but today it's "working," so I'm assuming this cadaverous arrangement of photos and print, laid out as though inspired by Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas, is permanent.
And not a peep (as far as I can see ) of protest from CSers?? (oh, my emoticons aren't working, either - had to type them in.)
So...are you seeing tiny print and photos, and a big dark square highlighting various options at the top of your page? Do you have to scroll past columns of crap just to get to the forums? :sadflower:

No, and it wasn't like that for me yesterday, either. The only thing I've noticed that's different is a couple of missing emoticons (the words are there, and I presume they're still usable), and that I had to change my pic to have one. My other one was only a dark vertical line for me, as is Stef's pic. No clue what's up with that.

I guess not as I have not seen what you are discribing. Yesterday I was having can not display messages after sending in a response but none of that today. All is good.

Could be you entered a wrong password or whatever...?
P.S. The site is still experiencing technical difficulties, IMO. It's not meant to be like that since everybody's layout looks different and many still have problems. Give it time. Looks like they are working on updates and it's causing these problems.

I am not familiar with the old version. This same one has been implimented since I joined the first of the year. No, the same version is the same as it always has been.
Hmmm...I checked my password, and you're right, Laura...I'd accidentally entered: "Jeff T. Burton" which I suppose might explain something. That, along with the flashbacks, could account for what I'm experiencing, I suppose...
Thanks for the reassurance, Laura. By the way, you look in your photo like Tim Burton's "bride" from the Nightmare Before Christmas...

Oh, pay no attention to that - it's just the way I am.
Concentrate on entering a right password or whatever . . .
If it was true, it would be my experience - not yours.
Well, they did do that modification of your photo, Laura. Now you look like you're caught in either a time-warp or the photographer's blurring your image like they do to protect the innocent (or someone who hasn't signed off on the photo). Weird, but oddly appealing somehow...
