I don't think anyone wishes to wake up next to someone they met the night before, and they are scared from what they see.
It's like the old saying.............beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Not everyone can be blessed with "Model quality good looks."
Anyone who puts so much emphasis on a person's attractiveness, such as the " coffee man " or Lucy Lawless ( I think it was her who played Wonder Woman); each of whom are truly fine looking specimens of the human race.
BUT, what happens if, God forbid, that person to whom you were sooo attracted by their looks, is horribly disfigured in a car accident or a fire, and therefore no longer the 10+ that they were previously ? Do you now decide that you don't want to be associated with them?
In the past, maybe more than once; I have described myself to a woman as " compared to me, they would call Frankenstein handsome." However, little kids and puppies seem to like me, so perhaps the women who I have dated in my earlier years saw those same qualities, and that is why they blessed me with their affection.
LOOKS......are only one quality of what can make a truly beautiful person.
I have long been of the opinion that when I was not able to live independently any longer, and had to rely on someone else to function on a daily basis, that I would " take myself out."
I pre-paid for my cremation years ago, I have no dependents, and I have determined how I want the proceeds of my estate dispersed; so why should I see the amount of those proceeds whittled away while I lay in a hospital bed, hospice, or some similar type of situation where my quality of life is less than desired. I gotta die anyway, so I might as well just get it over with.
There usta be a guy here in the United States, Jack Kervorkian, ( hope I spelled his name correctly ) who assisted people who desired to end their life. If that were available to me, I would definitely want to take advantage of that type of help. He was eventually jailed for his assistance in ending the lives of those who wished to die, which I think was wrong; but it is just the stupid rules which most of us must live by these days.
After I was away from CS for almost 3 years; allowing myself to unknowingly at the time to be scammed, I returned and had 14 "likes" posted to my account.
Perhaps it is due to my setting, or some other reason; but I do not know who any of the "likes" could have been. Had I known, I would have responded, because if someone takes the time to click on my profile, I certainly owe them a response. So, if there is anyone out there who might have "liked" me, please forgive me for not responding back, because I did know about your kind expression.
I didn't get a car until I got a job after high school graduation. I saved and saved and finally bought this beauty. This is the same color of my first car.
Yeah, probably most of the time. However, if I knew that my telling someone the truth would hurt their feelings, I might "stretch the truth a little." But, like the old saying goes... "honesty is the best policy;" pretty much sums it up.
