The Delta variant is on the rise in my area right now too. My son is a RN at the hospital here, and he is back to being tested twice a week. The last time he had to be tested like that was during the Christmas holidays, last year.
All hospitalizations here, are people who have not been vaccinated and most are in the 20-40 year-old range.
A co-worker of mine had to quarantine for two weeks when her daughter contacted COVID.
I have very fond memories of Woolworth as a child. My grandparents used to take me there for a root beer float. It was in South Gate shopping plaza..which is now a mall trying to stay above water. Only thing left there is Macys, The Loft, a few restaurants, a movie theater, and an Aldis just opened there.
We had a Woolco in the 70s and it closed too. There is a Crunch Fitness, Big Lots, and HomeGoods there now.
Funny how they are still there in your neck of the woods.
