Not a good idea to take first date (even if it's a fiasco) so personally - for your own sake.

I can understand your wanting a streight answer, but sometimes there is no streight answer after just one date.

This lady was wrong misleading you.
If she was not going to call you, she shouldn't have promised so.



You might be right reading her this way but it's nothing unusual - many people in the beginning are seeing different people before narrowing it down and pursuing one relationship exclusively.

I don't feel it would be acceptable for myself but do understand and do not judge...

And thanks for posting it, 'coz some guys might be clueless and think that is what's expected from them on a first date. Reading this they can see that it's appalling.

My only question to you all girls ( not only to OP) and to guys (if any reading it):

is it possible that a guy was one of those clueless ones and if OP politely said what's on her mind, he would be happy to stop?

Also, do they (guys) act differently when a girl meets someone for the first time having most of "a bottle of red for nerves"?

firstly, very few participate in forums;
and than ... well you know the drill;
hence you'll have to do it old-fashioned way...

There are rare exceptions though, so be patient.

Many ppl IMs are off.
