Now, try using only these words to write a sentence:

Colic dad sues madam.
I roar.
Level a heath.
That eagle soars.

RE: UFO'S

Under the current auspices of capitalism, they'd get our people, lock, stock, and barrel, without any further ado, if it would be profitable. Look at how many cultures/species in our own world we have completely trodden: people, different species, extraordinary plants, extinction of how many species per year, etc. We just don't care enough to be concerned what it might do to the residents of another planet, not if we can make a profit on it.

Those same creators of Star Trek, are capitalists who diverted the entire Colorado River, preventing it from flowing to Mexico, and obliterating many villages that previously prospered on its banks.

I think that maybe that is why G-d made traveling to another star system so difficult. Let us kill our own planet, but leave the others alone, until we can act like a species that is Grown-Up.

Just my own opinion.

RE: If the Earth were to suddenly stop spinning and start spinning in the opposite direction !

Yes, physics catches up lots of people. It is the Earth-Moon system. I like the space-movies where they fly spaceship like airplanes do in the atmosphere, rofl. It is more comedy, that reality.

Or, they'll use terms like LightYear, as a time, when it is actually a distance. It is hard to be convincing if you get huge pieces of the puzzle wrong, like basic terminology! Lol. Yes, it is all fiction, but certain things are required to suspend your belief system for the value of entertainment.

So yes, the OP forgot that the Earth-Moon are a system. How could you stop one from spinning, and not the other? If the Moon stops its orbit, or even slows slightly, it will accelerate towards the Earth due to the gravitational attraction between the two. If such a reversal were instantaneous, it would also have to overcome mind-blowing amount of inertia for the entire Earth-Moon system. Yeah, not such a trivial question. If it were even possible, the entire system would become a heap of space-rubble, just from the inertia.

RE: If the Earth were to suddenly stop spinning and start spinning in the opposite direction !

They view it much like a one-sided record, with a top, and no bottom, which makes their model even more absurd. But, given the supposition that it is a one-sided, spinning disk, such a "record" could be played backwards. Such a flat-Earth requires no particular laws of physics....in fact, it requires the elimination of the laws of physics, so a flat-Earth may spin however it wants, whenever it wants. :)

RE: If the Earth were to suddenly stop spinning and start spinning in the opposite direction !

Physics says that this is impossible. There is no known force that could affect such a change. And do you propose that such a force would somehow exclude the moon? If the moon were affected, which it would have to be, it would immediately start falling towards the Earth. Needless to say, by the time these inertias were overcome, the moon would have spiraled into the Earth, thus proving, yet again, that the flat-earthers are incorrect. But, they would then truly be flat-earthers. Rather, flattened-earthers.

Just my opinion.

RE: What are men looking for over 50 years of age?

That's ironic. I can fix a lot of stuff, and take it for granted. But I've found that many men have absolutely no clue how things actually work. I helped an older friend fix his garage door the other day. It is an old, heavy, wooden sliding door. Neither he, nor his wife could open and close it anymore, on most days.

But, there is this great new invention that came to the rescue and fixed it. It is called WD-40. I oiled the rollers, and he says it works like it did 40 years ago. Oy!

RE: What are men looking for over 50 years of age?

Yes. Many people don't understand, and think it is all some type of pipe dream. My wife of blessed memory was a great woman. We complemented each other very well. Things I didn't do well, she did, and things she didn't do well, I did. It worked great for 26-years. I took care of her when she got cancer. There was no way I would just abandon her.

Like the old saying goes, G-d must have broken the mold, after he made her.

Don't get me wrong. We both had our faults. We had arguments and disagreements. But we both always worked at working through them and staying together. That is what it is all about.

A lot of people here have a mind-set that just will never permit them to find such a person. Much like darwin's laws, that is fine by me. lol.

We all have to create our own reality, rather than live in the fantasy world that TV creates.

Stay safe and take care.

RE: What do you enjoy eating along with Cholates?

I don't like dark chocolate--it is bitter.

RE: What do you enjoy eating along with Cholates?

I don't know that Cholates are, never heard of them before. But, everybody's talking about chocolates, so we'll go with that.

I like: Chocolate ice-cream with chocolate syrup poured on top; or chocolate donuts dipped in a cup of hot chocolate; chocolate covered cashews are good, but they always mysteriously disappear in the car, on the way home, so I've never found out if they go with anything else at all--go figure.

RE: What are men looking for over 50 years of age?

Discrimination, at its finest.....

RE: What are men looking for over 50 years of age?

I can't, and won't, speak for other men. Men seem to be, emotionally, about 14-20 years old, and never seem to grow past that mentally-restricted age. (At least the ones on this site that speak in the blogs.)

What am I looking for? She doesn't have to cook and clean, but she'd better be able to repair engines, climb ladders to fix the house, instead. And, she'd better be mentally beyond those men than never advanced past the early years of High School.

I buried one wife. I'm not looking to repeat that experience. So, if she can't cook her own healthy meals, I'm likely not interested. If she hasn't been a healthy eater most of her life, I won't be interested, etc. Good health takes a lifetime, not just a sudden realization, that at 50, you should have done better when you were younger. I did do better when I was younger. I did all the things that I was supposed to do, according to the experts of the times. Of course, doctor's are playing the same guessing game we all are, but they do know quite a bit more, on average. But some, are only richer, not smarter. Some of us poor people could out-smart many of them in a heartbeat. That's sad, very sad.

I've personally known more than one PhD in my life. Most had money to begin with, if not all.

So, what am I looking for?

Somebody that is a good companion and compatible with my lifestyle. Any woman that is an adulteress, thief, unhealthy, ignorant, unladylike, etc, is just not going to easily get on my (empty) list. And my sentiments are the same as the gentleman stated above. I'm not interested in marrying some bloke. So, if she wears a ball-cap backwards, jeans, tattoos, etc. I'm not going to be interested. Equal rights is one thing, not being able to distinguish between genders, is quite another: at least in my house.

I supported my wife of blessed memory's hobby, sewing, to the hilt. I expect the same in return. It is a joint effort. Too many couples create a dividing-line, and throw a tantrum when the other person steps outside of their tiny little square box, they have been mentally placed in. So, I demand fair treatment.

I have had ladies refuse to talk to me, because they literally expect to be "treated like a queen." Sorry, but that just ain't gonna happen in this house. There are no 'red-carpets' here. Poor people have to work to keep their heads above water. I don't need a lead-weight. I need somebody that can navigate as I paddle, and that can paddle, when I am exhausted.

What I am looking for is a woman that can peer into my soul, and see my soul peering right back at her. And we'll both get goose-bumps, every time that happens. I'm looking for a woman that isn't accusing every time another woman happens to exist on the planet. If she isn't confident in her own abilities, or her husband's, then she can just move right on down the road. I want a woman that is every bit as sensible while we are poor, than she will be if we happen to win a great lottery. Her faith must be equal to mine, and not badger me, because her faith is so much less, or non-existent.

There are many things in life to look forward to, no matter what your age is. My wife of blessed memory was 18 years older than me. It hardly ever mattered. My future wife will understand such things, and just smile and look forward to the future, with me.

Will she be able to cook? Yes, if she wants to eat. Will she be able to clean? Yes, if she doesn't want everything to be filthy. Will she have to repair the car? Yes, every time that I need an extra set of hands.

That is what I'm looking for. I'm looking for my soul-mate. And if she's as shallow as most of the men on this site, then I guess that I'll be stepping over and away from a lot of these "little puddles".

My opinions are my own. I hope they help. If not, you may completely ignore them.

Shalom,
Iyyov

RE: Age cut off, do they really matter?

Wow. This thread has really degraded, since earlier. I guess I'll not be coming back.

RE: Age cut off, do they really matter?

I find your remarks wholly offensive. My wife of blessed memory was 18-years older than me. We were together for the rest of her life, for 26-years, after we were married. There were very few, if any, age related issues while we were married during that 26-year period.

There were some exceptions. Some people treated us badly, from the start. We saw lots of discrimination, people that didn't think a couple, such as us, should be together. But that is just pure discrimination. I've seen a lot of that in my life.

People have a choice. If they don't mind the age-difference between themselves, then nobody else has any right to say anything, as long as they are both over the age of consent, and both are mentally competent.
