My partner of 23 years is half Asian on his mothers side. and was born and raised in Hong Kong. Now almost all of his siblings live in Belfast for the past 35 years and are British citizens. His parents are now deceased but when they were alive he and his siblings would send money home to make sure the parents were looked after during their retirement.
My younger son took a job working for Amazon and hated it the whole time. He said amazon treats their staff like crap and said that he’s not alone in that mindset. He worked for them for a little while then stopped working and got his payoff.
She was a stray when I took her in initially. She just ran into my house when I opened my door to put my empty milk bottles out. She ran in and sat up on my sofa..I tried to put her out but wasn’t happening. She had apparently chosen me to keep her. I fed her and she then never left me . She was free to wander and leave me at any point but she never did. So I had her for her whole life. And I miss her every day.
Mobile phones make the world much easier. I remember when I had to use phone boxes all the time. Now cell phones are so much easier. So no I think living without a cellphone nowadays would just be ridiculously stupid
