Thanks for that useful info. I just needed to know if it's a typical scammer thing or not, and now it seems to be reason to be on the alert when 'whatsapp' comes up too soon. I found my counter measure:

Press there and create a profile. Don't have to download it. Skype then want a real email but they never reveal it to users, just like when you signed up for cs. Skype is as anonymous as cs. Beat that ha' And still some go around mocking skype as oldfashioned. It's as oldfashioned as dumb phones, the type Edward Snowden and his collegues used when he worked for the cia.

Here listen if I give the scammer (or who the hekk it is) her at cs my WHATS_BLÆPP number according to Bid (and I trust her) the person has my REAL phone number as well then. And here in NORWAY - number and address is out in the open... the terminator would find sarah conner real fast here...
Through S K Y P E baby... hehe And here in norway, if you have the number of a person (who has not actively asked it to be hidden) at the open digital phonebook the address is there too. Basically after getting my whatsapp number she (or he) can seek me up in person, or arrange to try and steal my ID. If they are clever. At least they know my full name and address + number. And that I don't wanna give to anybody. Photo they have too, to go with it.
nahhh....u see skype stands out as safer to me then.. cos like on cs, you don't give out your real name. Or number.
I also prefer to go to voice relatively soon especially If I'm in doubt if I like the person or trust. A slight different when I know somebody well by cs mail or through forum/blogs cos then I can often decide if a person is of interest to me without skype.
