The American shift to liberal republicanism, and the gradually increasing democracy, caused an upheaval of traditional social hierarchy and gave birth to the ethic that has formed a core of political values in the United States
The American Revolution was the political upheaval during the last half of the 18th century in which thirteen colonies in North America joined together to break free from the British Empire, combining to become the United States of America. They first rejected the authority of the Parliament of Great Britain to govern them from overseas without representation, and then expelled all royal officials. By 1774 each colony had established a Provincial Congress, or an equivalent governmental institution, to form individual self-governing states, but still within the empire. The British responded by sending combat troops to re-impose direct rule. Through representatives sent in 1775 to the Second Continental Congress, the new states joined together at first to defend their respective self-governance and manage the armed conflict against the British known as the American Revolutionary War (1775–83, also American War of Independence). Ultimately, the states collectively determined that the British monarchy, by acts of tyranny, could no longer legitimately claim their allegiance. They then severed ties with the British Empire in July 1776

Republicans do like war ......gives em something to watch on TV evenings after NASCAR ........
And they contradict themselves constantly .....what comes to mind is their detication to the rediculously costly space program ......another thing to watch on TV after NASCAR.....
I just figred out the problem ..........Republicans will vote for and do anything for their evening TV entertainment
Knowing what's causing Obama to continue spending after Bush started it .......is the first step towards placing blame where blame is due. The fact is Bush and Cheney put together the "perfect storm" recipe for economic disaster. It was like lighting the bank on fire as you walked out after you and your buddies robbed it .......
Yea, we're pretty much upset over illegals and entitlements and anything that is particularly meaningless and sensational to get our party's attention every minute of the day .....
Oh, I forgot, we LOVE .....to spend TONS of money that we don't have .......
Gosh I wish I could stay up all nite and continue this with you Conrad....but I do have work in the morning ....sleep well - knowing that you believe in yourself Conrad .....
No need, when Calif thrived ( as it will soon again ) - most of us made enough money to sit this one out ....and take an occasional drive in our Porsches ...
Happy Independence Day Americans !!
Let's not ruin the moment Conrad.....It's the 4th , and we're all respectfully celebrating over here in our country
