Tidepride01: I want the 2012 election to give us a leader who is not afraid to let the country know he is proud of GOD and his country.
Good luck with that - - - - Politicians are all the same, and they don't give a crap about anything or anyone else but them selves, and their self interest

They cater more to big businesses and leaders of other countries and then they bomb them. The other countries that is.
To me it's not going to matter who takes over cause things aren't going to change. It's about time people took their blinders off and faced reality.
Long before the politicans announce they're running for office they know before hand that they have no plans to keep their promises once they're in office. The ones who vote for these people fall for every word hook line and sinker and the politcians know it.

How about just reverting to "by the people for the people.
Some useful things to add to the "To Do List" 1)Get rid of the Federal Reserve 2)Cut the military 3)Introduce sensible regulation to the financial industry 4)Reform Taxation law, to remove loopholes for corporate tax evasion. 5)Introduce real Healthcare to the populace, via real competative insurance, regardless of State. 6)Scap the proposed merger regarding closer boundaries, if thats the right word with Canada and Mexico. 7)Change foreign policy, to actually do something real to the middle east, not just pander to some wealthy lobby groups. 8)Reform the Intelligence Agencies, and flush out say 90 per cent of the "Foreign Contractors". 9)Reallocate resouces to push Americas might towards scientific development of clean, free energy. 10)Environmental cleanup. Investigate which group is conducting Geoforming, and stop this immediately. 11)Abolish the legality in marketing Genetically modified foodstuffs, at home and abroad. 12) Limit access to Government from Special interest groups, on the basis of political or financial support.
And last or not least, put an honest reputable man in the Whitehouse...one that isn't bought and payed for, one that will work for all the people, one who has actually travelled outside of the states, and specifically who will not constantly use religion, media, spin, manipulation, cover action or duplicity to stay in office.

It is/was not a Christian God but all Gods that is now the big problem in America. America was founded on the belief that all people have the right to worship the way God gave them. Now, if worshiping in the true nature of each and every culture or faith of their beliefs than we should never leave our homes and be on our knees all day! If you want to live a true and faithful life than you/we should deal with everyone we meet as a profit and a gift from God. JMHO
Its funny how the only people who have anything good to say about Obama are the people who live in the United States. HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

If you had a brilliant politician with well thought out and practical ideas that would curry the favour of the people, would you not vote for him if he happened to be an Atheist?

GOD? sure he can be proud, but it is by far the least important to me...the last leaders that were proud of god have severely failed us...i would rather have a person who cares for the poeple of this country, rather than the concept of country...the governemnt exixts for the people, atheist agnostic, christian, muslim jew, hindu, whatever...we don't exist to provide the government. we need to remind the politicos that
Wow, I just did some research because this thread interested me quite a bit. (I was amused at the reference to "57" states, for instance...)
1. There are 46 states. 2. There are 4 commonwealths. 3. There are 9 territories. 4. There is one district. 5. Two of the states do not use the term 'counties'. 6. Two of the territories are also commonwealths. ________________________________________________________________ 2. a. The four commonwealths that are not territories are: Kentucky, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia.
5. a. Louisiana uses the term 'Parish'; Alaska uses the term 'Borough'.
6. a. Puerto Rico and The Northern Mariana Islands are commonwealths.
When did the law requiring a US President to be born in the United States come into effect. It could not have been in the original constitution or else it would have rendered George Washington ineligible as he was born in England.
