RE: Too much of a game in the US

Good for you. You want a real woman not a kid. She can be any age but needs to be interesting and mature enough to carry on a conversation. You set you sights and when you find her you'll know. You know what you want, so don't settle for less.See a mans brain can be in his head...Good Thinking. I have a daughter that is in school to be a RN then maybe a Doctor (up to her) there out there but you won't find them in the mall unless they are shopping for shoes. Good Luck thumbs up

RE: Dog Accessories vs Human Poverty

I know a woman that has 30 or more pairs of shoes but only 2 feet..It's your money....How many jobs or people does it take to get a load of bananasbanana into the store...I'll start the land owner, the farmer, Who builds the tactors, trucks and boats, to get it to the store, the boxes it shipped in. When you buy a product there are many people who have jobs. That is Capltalism....The economic system in which the means of distribution and production are privately owned and operated for private profit. It your money so if you live in a free world you can spend it any way you like if for food or some piece of junk Spend your money..It makes for more jobs...handshake

It is a gray sky, softly raining. The cooler breeze is welcome slipping through a open door. I am enjoying my morning coffee as the rain starts coming down harder. I look down as my dog makes herself comfortable on her rug. It could become a lonley day just her and me together. The computer screen in front of me, the rain falling on the roof, just my dog and me. When I speak to her in words that she understands "cookie" she tilts her head as she looks up. Do you want to go "out" she drops her head, to say no thanks, maybe to become invisable to me, she knows the sound of the rain. Her Black coat shines, her brown eyes look through me, I do not feel alone. I look at the rain falling harder as light mist comes up from the ground. What a Beautiful day, a summer rain helping to nourish the fields, filling the lakes and ponds. I get up from my chair, I know, I am being watched from below. While putting on my rubber boots, I feel a nose push into me as to say come on lets go! When I reach for my rain coat the excitement starts a shake a wag a small bounce. My path to the door is blocked by the same dog that only moments ago curled on her rug, is now waiting at the door like a race horse at the gate.
I open the door and we step into the wet air, She dances like a child on the beach she runs ahead then a quick circle as we head down the lane together. This is the Beauty in my life. Enjoy your Day....

RE: The stray dog

I have been dog training about 40 years. Former military and law-enforcement k-9. Every thing from basic obedience to Man trailing with some greyhound racing thrown in. I favor the gun dogs retriever and pointing breeds. I also do responsiable pet owner seminars and have authored a book. I spend time working to help get dogs or kittys adopted through Save-A Pet programs. I would love and hope to get to the U.K and see the sheep dogs work truly an art between dog and man.

Meals on Wheels.........rolling on the floor laughing That's a new one I thought I had heard them all ...and don't pet your dog if she becomes aggressive to other dogs...it will only re-enforce the behavior that you don't want....

RE: The stray dog

I can't tell you what will happen to him but I can tell you what you could do better, if it ever happens again. Dogs think like dogs people think like people. Never use a loud or screaming, it make things worse...You dog thinks your barking or in trouble. If your screaming you'er not calming....you did not act natural or normal so Chynna picked up on this....You did do the right thing by taking the dog to a police or shelter. If the WEE (Ilove that) my dogs name is weezel... ok if the wee hadn't had any vacinations it could be a problem for you or your dogs. If you'd have just left him on the streets you would have worried more than you are now. Maybe take some food to the police and check on him...The best of luck.

I hadn't thought about beauty in death. When I see the crosses in Arlington, I see the beauty of our people and what they have given. Beauty is quality that is pleasing to the eye. Quality...of our men and woman that served their country.

I am in a soft and romantic mood today...I have been thinking about all the beauty around. The different months of the year, what they bring into our lives. I see so much beauty, in the fields, the sea and sky. Just to stop and watch the clouds pass by. There is so much beauty in the world that it sometimes goes unnoticed. True friendship, love, acts of kindness the birth of a child. I am waiting on Avro, my lab to have puppies. What is it, What is the something you like, that brings beauty to your eyes and heart.

The Month ahead, Your favorite

As the summer winds down I start getting excited about the coming of fall. My favorite time is September, October and November....The color of the leaves start to change and the beauty of nature starts. Every month has it's own presonality, but the fall does it for me. Each month in the year have a romance with my soul but when the days get shorter the leaves start turning, the harvest starts, a new world opens up for me. Maybe it signals my brain to get ready for the winter. It is a time when, I hunt with my dogs and truly love to watch their excitment with freedom. It is a time when a flannel shirt feels good against my skin. Holloween and Thanksgiving are my favorite holidays...The fun of dressing up for a harvest party with big orange pumkins, that have layed around getting fat all summer now feed us pumkin pie and become Jac'o lanterns. When November comes I feel a sadness knowning that my favorite months are behind me. One last hunt with my dogs before it turns to cold, walking through the fields and hearing the flocks of geese heading south as the wind blows the last leaves from their mother tree, falling to replenish the earth. What is your favorite month cozy dwon by a fire in December or Lay in the sun in July....?dunno wine

RE: If you could have your favourite drink

Sorry....laugh It is an camouflage area to conceal the hunter from the ducks.. Some are dug into the ground and called pit blinds. It can be a warm place for the hunter and his dog to sit and wait....It is a good place to watch nature and take pictures while having a hot coffee to....

RE: If you could have your favourite drink

Hot Black Coffee with my Dogs waiting for a little more sun light before entering the field together....grin In the sandhills of Nebraska...or South Dakota...or a Duck blind in Arkansas...Watching the excitement of the dogs and beauty of nature come together. With a hot cup of coffee....
