I personally can conclude from the ways people behave in certain situations, their reaction is a direct result of their emotional state.
And it seems to me that I am the one who pressed the wrong button here.
BTW, do you need a unit to know whether you (or people close to you) are sad, or angry, or happy, etc.? If you truly feel that you do, then consider this: if someone is having emotion without the corresponding behavior, then you may consider the degree of their emotion not to be all that essential.
But it's not the case with people we are talking about here...
