Tell him you're sorry(if you are). If he is really your friend he will understand you said things out of anger. He will speak to you again if you're friends.
The will to live takes over. Time becomes your best friend when you face pain. I know the feeling, when my ex and I split I was crushed. Through time I have healed. You just have to sit and stop looking at what you don't have and be thankful for what you do. You just have to come out throwing punches and fight your way out of that emotional corner.
If I am lucky enough to find "The One", I will do my best to be with that person, if I had to wait three years I would. If the person really is the one they will be worth waiting for.
Being overlooked does get old after a while, same thing happen out at bars so no different here, just have to roll with the punches and hope you find someone.
