I googled but for the life of me could not find when anyone had done the last Ghost Census. If someone finds this information where I couldn't, please email to: zero-sum at same.nut
Hmm. I guessed the question was more specific to dating as this is a "dating site" where you initially connect to meet again, so to speak: i.e., date If it was meant as an exclusive meet and stay online and date forever question, I strike my initial semi--sarcastic comment and side with the lady from Austria.
Though I am relatively new here I can see where this community, though friendly and supportive, could become like a modern day "old maids" club, a placebo/substitute for the real reasons why folks might have initially come here in search of their mate. In some way it almost, and I say this nicely and with no implications otherwise, "could" tend to breed apathetic reactions as well, and more quickly than in the real world hunt.
Then again, everything and everyone has expectancy levels, and this venue does distill what is normally a righteous and sometimes time consuming effort of finding a mate into an almost "shop-like" atmosphere, compressed, captioned, annotated and thus imbues one with hope due to numbers of prospective people present here.
And that is all the quest for love has ever been, really. A search amongst numerous souls while maintaining hope.
"Some of the nicest people on earth are psychopaths."
Boy is that right. And I have had that experience in spades...
People rise to their own levels, too, like water. Even in common face-to-face meetings, say at a mass social function where you might find 50 odd people, there are going to be stinkers. The "stinker" in some comes out more readily online due to the "seeming" detached atmosphere and the instant ability to hide behind a computer screen. When this sort of obvious egoism flaunts itself, consider the source. These people most likely don't do well at face-to-face, either, and perhaps that's the reason they're here.
Disengage and move on. You seem like a good sort; don't hang around with the ones who bum you out.
Not really. I stopped drinking beer years ago and now during the warmer months maybe drink a corona or a guinness, depending. No hard alcohol anymore, as well. I went with the nacho idea and put aside my shiraz in favor of a beer and see what I got? Enjoy. It's a splendid moment in time.
You are most gracious. Cheeses: jarlsberg, a very sharp cheddar and pepper cheese, oops, and I forgot--and a light brie. The tiramisu should go well with the shiraz. I jested about having the cheetos. Sorry.
RE: Do you have a purpose in this life? What is it?
"Rotten is as Rotten does"--Porus MumpNope, just having my banana cake and eating it too. I took a day off finally. :)
