I mean, you know, you're on a sailboat, drifting across the ocean for who knows how long, in the 1600's- What are you gonna drink?
If you brought livestock, you could milk it, I guess. You can't drink the sea water without purging the salt out of it, and beer is awesome in both form and function, it can keep for months at a time, and it makes the ladies think your personality is not entirely disagreeable!
I've heard there is a page in the logbook of the mayflower which does actually mention that they decided to end their journey where they did because of dwindling supplies, of which beer was specifically made mention.
Beer has a pretty impressive historical significance. It seems silly to us now, that they might have been stopping because all the beer was gone, but back in the day, beer was vital! :)
Pfft. We've survived up to this point, what's it matter?
Population control is the only way we're going to survive on this planet.
I suggest we start eating PEOPLE.

I love vanilla soymilk to pieces, and I wish it were a lot cheaper (cost about twice as much as standard milk here), but at the same time, I wouldn't consider it as a replacement for actual milk at all. They're two very different things.
Maybe I'm wrong here, but doesn't this bit, from which you seem to have pulled your figure, suggest that they are to pay $75 million just because they caused a spill alone, in addition to the millions or billions it would cost to clean up the spill?
And thus I clothe my naked villany With old odd ends stolen out of holy writ; And seem a saint, when most I play the devil." - The Life and Death of Richard III
The way I grew up, there were always people in and out- Friends, strangers, animals.. Spend so much time living on other people's houses, along with my own, had so many other families that became my family...
It just doesn't seem right if there isn't someone else around.
It doesn't seem right to lock the door at night- How else is everyone gonna get in?
Ah, but then I realize, it's just me, just me.
And for a while, that was OK, and then it really started pushing me in weird ways.
Now it's just me, and the cat. And things are better this way.
Strange how even such simple affection and motion can calm the soul.
It was a feeler thread, to see if I could get a response from her, as she had somehow accidentally blocked me. :) We got it all resolved, and no hard feelings- I just wanted to make sure I got her attention somehow to let her know what was up, in case it was indeed an accident.
