I don't think it's entirely wrong to blame previous generations for where we're at- But, it's important to remember just what they did.
To say they caused immorality directly, well that's certainly inflammatory.
But, let's say they promoted tolerance. They pushed for freedom. They encouraged existentialism.
Would that be fair dos, to say that our ability to be wild and crazy, to shun social norms, is a result of the release of strict social inhibitions that are now only of historic significance?
OK, seriously, the whimpitudeness here is frightening.
What you need is at least two shotguns- one high capacity pump action for Dire Situations, and another double barrel just for style points.
High powered rifle with multipower scope- Because popping skulls can be just as fun from 500m.
More ammo than you can carry, and a badass set of wheels to haul it around in. Badass ride should either be heavy machinery, pick-up, or sports car with back window blown out to allow mounting any sort of chain-fed machine gun.
A chainsaw, or hey, maybe a katana. The practicality of a longsword for modern combat is certainly arguable, but when all you're doing is fighting mindless meat-stumps, it's probably actually pretty effective!
You can indeed hear free music everywhere, but wouldn't one expect to discern what music is good, what is not? And if so, then wouldn't one want to be able to access what is good at his whim?
Sure, there's free music everywhere, if you think that all the music you hear over the radio is worth listening too...
Which isn't to mean that I prefer to be without a serious relationship.
I suppose it might be atypical, but I want to know that I'm with a person because I want to be with that person.
I think that, to be with someone, through rough times, without the bond of 'marriage', shows real and serious commitment, and doesn't invoke the other noncommittal fears that marriage carries- Financial loss, social stigma, etc.
I can be as committed as marriage, without the legal repercussions, if I truly love a person, and I think that is all the more-so honorable- to have the only single reason you're in a relationship be that you love the other person.
I've always thought of the list of features/whatever as more of a 'preference' than a 'mandatory' list.
You know? I'm not even sure what I have listed, if anything, but certainly if I do have something listed, it's only to express my likes, not to put anyone off from contacting me.
And certainly, as the previous poster said- Surely it's the same reason so many women's profiles seem to emphasize a man who is taller than the woman (not that he need be very tall, simply 'taller than me', as she would say it).
I can't recall for sure, but the first album I can remember buying was Third Eye Blind's self-titled hit- Peak of the alternative rock scene!
I passed it over some time after I bought it, and then just a few years ago I found it and started listening again, and probably liked it more than I ever did before. Would be in my top 10 album list.
Perhaps it looks a bit minxy, but I've always thought lace wristbands could be stylish. Of course, just what kind or style will change things a lot, sure, but it's an option, right?
1) Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't a watch on one hand, and a bracelet on the other cover up wrist tattoos? If she had the desire to cover it, I think it would be a rather easy-to-accomplish goal.
At least, they would be fresh looking, and they'd carry a positive message. She doesn't really mention how obvious the tatts might be, either. All she really says is she works 'helping children'.
2) You wouldn't get respect from ignorant, judgmental people, is what you mean, I think? Excuse me, but, most of my idols couldn't have cared less about social norms, and that's a good part of exactly why I idolize them.
Aside from use as a fuel, crude is needed to make plastics from.
PVC, Nylon, ABS, Vinyl, Silicone, Plexiglass/Lucite, Polyester, Acrylics, etc, etc.
I don't think the thought occurs to a lot of people, when you talk about oil, that so much material, not just fuel, is made from oil. Not always crude oil, but much of it I would expect?
Think of all the plastic things you see in a store, or a home- Not just the products themselves, either...
