As a single man I prefer to live alone between these two choices. I would love to be with a beautiful lady, but not just living with a 'friend'.

I said I would prefer to live alone because right now me and my kids are living with my sister and I have to sleep in the living room and have no privacy. I would love to be able to get a place for me and my children and, hopefully, a significant other in the near future. I am not sure if I will live with someone without being married as long as my children are still in the house though. Okay.....I have made a simple little poll into a huge deal!!!!

As much as I'd prefer living with someone, I'd rather be alone than live with the wrong person. My pets make better house mates than some of the people I've met over the years. The dogs, at least, are honest and straight-forward.

The way I grew up, there were always people in and out- Friends, strangers, animals.. Spend so much time living on other people's houses, along with my own, had so many other families that became my family...
It just doesn't seem right if there isn't someone else around.
It doesn't seem right to lock the door at night- How else is everyone gonna get in?
Ah, but then I realize, it's just me, just me.
And for a while, that was OK, and then it really started pushing me in weird ways.
Now it's just me, and the cat. And things are better this way.
Strange how even such simple affection and motion can calm the soul.
It just doesn't seem right if there isn't someone else around.

The way things look now, and during the short future that is yet to be lived, I think it will be best to be alone.

My ideal would be living with Mr. right on the same land in separate buildings. If he can live up to my high expectations on cleanliness and tidiness we could share the kitchen and living area. He's welcome to visit as long he announces it - don't like surprise visits and I need a lot of space to be able to breath properly.

So many people wanting to live alone. Not me.
I have spent my life living with others, even complete strangers sometimes. I like it that way. Not to say I can't live alone.
I am alone in the last couple of years, and it colours who I am and everything I do. My whole life has been built around giving and sharing, and being alone is not conducive to that at all.
I feel like so much of what was important to/of me is gone. It is a fine line between alone and lonely, and I don't like walking that line.
