To be fair, it wasn't always like this. There was a time when marriages that remained was greater than the divorce rate.
Two people meet....have fun...discover each others character and personality.....dream....learned each others "love language"....make plans.....get married....argue.....make up.....grow old....buried beside one another.
A mantra I have noticed for a while now on women's profiles (sorry but I don't look at guy's profiles) is that they love to laugh. Not only so, but that is a requirement of the person they are looking for. While there is nothing wrong with laughing, I love to laugh also, any single person will tell you that life is full of many ups and downs...not all days are filled with laughs. How much more when 2 single lives are merged together? When in a good relationship, you will have laughter automatically...it just works out that way.
What I observe in Canada is that many people think about relationships as an adventure and exciting, and it is. Many consider what they want/need from a potential partner, as they should. But I question how much they think about what they need to bring into the relationship, because I can.
When 2 people get married, a common vow is that they will love one another for better or worse....what's worse than worse? Likewise, as love can produce "feelings" of joy, laughter and create good times, those are not satisfactory for a lasting relationship. Commitment and sacrifice is....okay, I'll toss in selflessness.
I have concluded in my own thoughts about my next relationship that I will not concern myself so much to how she treats me, but rather how I treat her. I just HOPE she does the same. I reason that if we both are doing that, neither will be lacking and have a more fulfilled relationship.
I thank You for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.
Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You. Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. And give me the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way.
I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood...I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those that don't believe. But I thank You that I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes; that they are out of debt and all their needs are met. I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees it
Try making your body age backwards. You have no clue what a miracle is. What you call a "miracle", I call life.
So many on here talk out of thin air. You speak as if you sat and dined with God himself and make all sorts of claims about the infinite, when you yourself are finite. That's equivalent to a street person telling a surgeon how to perform in his profession. Those that are bent on disproving God exists, keep calling for proof, but they can't prove anything they themselves stake claim to. It makes more sense to have a Creator than what we have here on earth, what we call life, to appear by chance. No man would ever write a book that condemns himself to the point the bible does. How do I know? Because for the very same reason most of you do not read it. God has proved Himself to me many times...I am convicted to the core He is who He claims He is.
I'm sure most, if not all, here know the passage John 3:16. Let me go a little further. This is the condition of those that are bent on standing against God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. THIS is in Jesus' words: John 3:17 "For God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18 He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God."
1 out of 1 person dies. And when each of us dies, we each will face God...this very same God you slander today. Then we all will be silenced and either be found justified or guilty. You laugh now and make jokes about that which you do not understand...because you feel you can afford it. I wonder how many here will be laughing when death is staring you in the face.
I'm off this thread...I knew once I poked my nose in here I'd hafta say something. And believe me, I take no pleasure in confronting people like this. It divides more than not. But I'd rather have all you hate me for what I say than for God to hate me for not saying anything.
In all fairness: tr.v. in·clud·ed, in·clud·ing, in·cludes 1. To take in as a part, element, or member. 2. To contain as a secondary or subordinate element. 3. To consider with or place into a group, class, or total
To use "including" as a pretext to the cities you mentioned following, you were essentially saying they, too, are countries.
Sir, your info is incorrect on many points. All I will say is that you should go and quote people properly and not attempt verbatim. Just from the outset, you tried to quote the passage that says, "Money is the root of all evil". Far different than what you attempted to type verbatim. And it's not "The book of lambs", but rather "The Lambs book of Life". I KNEW I shouldn't have poked my nose in here!!
RE: A Typical Love Story
And which would that be?
