Thank you to you all for your valuable advice and concern.
I handed in my notice yesterday, much to their annoyance (hee hee). I spoke to my union rep who advised me that i can pretty much leave and go when i want to. He's never known a company take and old employee to court yet in 30 years.
So, i'm off to spain for a few days with the boys this weekend and seeing as my uncle lives near where i'm going, i might just stay a while until my new job starts on 11th October.
I think you're bang on the money there mate. We're so busy trying to make the other one happy by being someone they want us to be. Bit daft really but we all do it to some degree although, personally i'm learning to be myself no matter what. Its best in the end. The lady will get what she sees from the beginning and hey preasto ! i don't need to change after time.
Can anyone in the know give me any advice relating to resigning your post effective immediately from your current job. What are the legal implications with regard to UK law and do i, if i've signed a contract, HAVE to work my notice. I want to leave as soon as i receive formal notice of another job offer. If i can just resign and leave immediately i will. Any advice is much appreciated Kind Regards
Have you ever notice that a rose never loses its beautiful scent even on the most rainy of days ? just like you !
Full of love today aren't i ? must be the poet in me or the fact that i haven't done a damn thing all morning at work and i finish in half an hour, and i'm off to Spain at weekend with all my best mates. Happy Days !
Log cabin in the mountains next to a river full of salmon, the odd hunting trip, a fridge full of beer and my best mates. And a few beautiful intelligent ladies wouldn't be out of place too. Perfect !
I think everyone can be a little of everything on the list. Its what makes us human. Have to confess i've never been arrogant or boorish or cheap. Sometimes i think women are looking for a perfect man. I'm sure as hell not going to try and be perfect for anyone. I'll be a gentleman at all times but having to conform to a list just makes me want to be on the list even more. You say left, i go right. Makes life interesting
An old mate of mine once said "i walk up to at least 100 women every time i go out and ask for a date, come straight out with it, most of them turn me down. The more they turn me down the more determined and confident i get. 7 out of 100 always say yes. 3 would come home with me and 1 will sleep with me. I never go home alone".
I suppose that sums up what you were asking. Its not what i would do personally as i'm more reserved and choosy. But, if you don't care, try it.
Don't like to live alone. I'm a very sociable person. I like to have someone to come home to and talk about my day or whatever. The bonus is being able to have a nice cuddle when you come home and a kiss when you leave in the morning to go to work. You know you have a friend who is there to help you when needed as we all do from time to time. I just prefer to share my life i suppose and halve the problems we have to deal with.
Very true, just wish a lot more local ladies agreed with you. All the girls my age seem to want want want and never give anything in return - speaking from extensive experience.
I gave because i loved
They took and expected under the pretence that they loved.
Chicken in garlic and white wine sauce with fettucini, I love it. Very simple and easy to make and delicious. Just like mamma used to make !
I do a damn fine English breakfast too if i do say so myself. No frying of anything though, all the grease gives me indigestion for days so its all grilled and the eggs are poached
Nothing worse than masses of hair down there. Get rid of it all is what i say. Plus its miles more comfortable and you won't see me........ erm ........ re arranging myself in the street.
When your gut instinct tells you they are. Mine has never failed me yet. The first time it happened it took me weeks to first accept what i was thinking, and then find out the truth. The second time, it took me 30 minutes after she'd done the deed. I might be daft but i'm not stupid ! Once bitten, twice shy.
Wish people would just be honest and split up with you first rather than make a fool out of you.
I've NEVER cheated. EVER. And never will. I have too much self respect for that.
Resign from my job ?
