I have met some that they could not hold a conversation, but in the cyber world you respond as fast as you can type. Cyber to phone to meeting. Cyber to phone I usually do within a couple of days, The meeting is dependent on location and other factors. I have met thoise in close proximity, and have some that we will probably never meet. just birthday cards and such. I NEED TO SEE YOU ...send them a picture..LOL. i follow this rule, We can meet but "no promises" I had a woman come from belguim to visit about 10 of us through out the U.S. I was tipped off she was only interested in the free lodgings, and she abused the kindness and hospitalitythat was offered her. Well, I e-mailed her that Due to an unforseen situation I would be unavailable to offer my home for lodgings. follow your gut instincts or in your case intuition>
It does'nt get easier as you get older. the young have always healed quicker. There are enough relationship books covering "How to" "When to", "who to" to fill a library. I commend you on your patience and determination. Truth is some are blessed with love early, some later. Think of those that get married 4 and 5 times in their lifetime. how many are deeply hurt from those unsuccessful unions. Much like a watched phone, love sometimes appears to take forever to call your number. Do not settle, never settle in matters of the heart. Whatever your interests are attend group functions dealing with that. When you go, go to have fun, not perform a scavenger hunt. Relationships are like movies, they both have a begining, middle and end, they also share another thing, they are not all memorable... But love, dude thats enternal....

What is honesty in todays dating society??? do you volenteer what you know will harm your new realtionship? do you only answer honestly to questions asked? do you remain polite even though you honestly think that person is an outrageuos liar? how does one determine difference between a "little white lie" and a "bold face lie"? I have my ideas on these questions... but

It is a novel idea I grant you...Profiles are simplY that, a self potrait in finger paint. in this fast paced society first impressions are about all any one has time for. On the street or internet. I think critiquing someones profile should come from a friend. Personnaly , I do not want or expect my "profile" to appeal to everyone. it would sort of defeat its purpose. Its those types of little flaws that make us unique... just my opinion.

years have past and I am grateful for the hard life lesson she taught me. I was foolish, blind and deaf in my adoration of her. she gave me soo many signals, family and freinds tried, from the simpliest thing of not making a phone call, to Weekends with her freinds, I did not want to see. I can thank her now, back then when the realization came upon me... I made excuses for her actions of betrayal and lack of concern of my feelings. I know first hand what is meant by love is blind, I Believe that quote was taken out of context too... She and I was a high speed car wreck and I can now say it's as much my fault as hers. I was driving Blind...she was driving reckless. It was a head-on collision. Took years to recover. I guess because of this relationship I have developed a "No fault" state of mind.

As for the "Made in heaven"type person, If I was to encounter this type today, a clean tooth extraction, is less painful than a longlasting toothach. same rules applys to the heart.
From what I have read in history books both of past WW were fought differently, Technology and all plays a major role in how things get accomplished or destroyed. My opinion is We are now in a world war. across every continent terrorism has become the tool of choice. in the past the technology and power structures of countries where known. now war is fought through terrorism, the small unarmed countries use a home made bomb strap to their chest or car. the big countries use the economy to force a certian behavior or act to take place.this leads to the consequence of innocents being harmed , injured and killed. a suicide bomber takes out innocents. those that cannot change policy. the big countries enforce embargos and block off trade and commerece. innocents suffer more than the targeted enemy. unemployment, food memdicine become unavasilable, punish the masses for the actions of a few. Sounds like the same criteria as the past world wars. Course thats just an opinion. another thought i have been having is " I will gladly fight/die for an established democracy again, but I will not encourage my children to fight/die to force democracy on someone.

Being "perceived" as a couple by other friends or strangers is definitely a double edged sword... while it keeps the rift raft away it also keeps the potential dream mate away as well. unless you prefer to be wanted or desired so badly by another that no barrier or signal weather knowingly or unkowingly transmitted will stop or prevent that someone from after what they want. Her is a question is this statement true ? "nobody wants what no one else wants."
I say NO WAY. I am freinds with co-workers, neighbors, but to be a friend to a female just in a strictly hanging out or bar hopping or event attending socialize for any extended amount of time. Sorry My mind must be different then most. But it cannot be at least not with me. had a friend , got divorced helped his Ex just to do home repairs and go out to local bar... it was a good friendship for about 3 weeks... nope just don't see it... the movie "When Harry met Sally" comes to mind Past Lovers can become platonic friends, and the best of Friends at that.
well our elected officials have a thought of a new way of Collecting taxes, the TELL ON yOUR NEIGHBOR policy. rewards are involved. It just IRKs me, they have tax free vacations and gifts given them on a daily basis. Savings and loans raping our elderly pension plans dumping on those that have paid in for years. And they want us to report on our neighbors for "cheating the I.R.S." Well, to all my neighbors, I won't tell on your tax free cigarettes and liquor , so do not tell on my renovating /improving my home or classic 66 GTO . I just think these politicians could clean-up their own backyard before be fore stealing from mine.
well, I remember many year ago when I was a soldier returning home from Germany, I sorta attempted to bring some smokable keepsakes home. To keep them well secure i carefully placed them within my 16" woofers of my Marantz stereo system. Well when i wen tto reclaim my posessions my smokable keepsakes were gone and my 16" woofers where punctured, i was asked by military customs if all my belongings were intact? guess what i responded. the concept of war and how they are fought has changed from past wars. now longer do they line up and fight head to head. Yes we are in a world war. But it is not Freedom or human rights that we are fighting and sacrificing life for. I worry about americas finanicial dominence in world affairs. We tried free trade agreement to show other countries citizens that our form of government works. but we were unprepared for their counter-attack. they have failed to fulfill their end of agreement.we are and have been in a world war i is an economic one hiddeen under the guise of humanitarian reasons. We have been tested by natural disasters in our own land, and miserably failed. my point being, if we as a nation cannot tend and care for our wonded in any definition of the word, how can we possible tend to other counties pain and ailments. while we travel throughout the world throwing lives and money at others problems ,we are destroying ourselves in small increments at home.... healthcare, unemployment, education, corruption within out political structure.... but still elected officials claim by helping other countries we better ourselves..... the chain is only as strong as the weakest link.....
