Who am I really? I am complicated....a woman of contradictions. I am carefree, I am deep. I like structure, I like spontaneity. Introverted, shy, outgoing, driven. Adventures, hearth and home. Risk taker, play it safe. A woman of faith who embraces others' ideas and ideologies. I lead a life that fulfills my heart and soul, I don't fit into a tidy box. I love people....I tell them how I feel about them, as life is short and uncertain and I don't wish to live with regrets.
Wellll...I was actually on my way out the door to go to church this morning, and a text came through from friends asking me to join them at a local Greek Festival for lunch. So I turned around, waited for them to come fetch me, and I thought it would be lunch and maybe about two hours of Greek fun. But we drank Ouzo, listened to the music and dancers, strolled through the vendors with all their pretty trinkets and such, took a tour of the beautiful church, and came back to my place for coffee and laughing for several hours. Then we went out for a lovely dinner and wine under a moonlit evening on the restaurant's patio, the meal was spectacular, we shared desserts, and I am only now settled into my comfy chair at 11 p.m. A beautiful spontaneous day with some of my favorite people.
Buying something you want with your birthday money sounds like a fail-proof gift.
Gather your friends together on and near your birthday and go out for a drink, or activity, or event, or something you enjoy. Make those wonderful meaningful memories.
Well you're here to tell the tale, so I guess you didn't slide off the fender. Big fun, isn't it?! I am looking forward to my next ride....in my own boots.
