Unfortunately craig that's just how some legal systems work.Then those people go out and usually commit the very same crime all over again.When it comes to child molesters they should be given the death penalty.
I'm sure there are parents who feel like you do.My late husband had two boys and if something would've happened to their mother I would've helped him raise them.
My niece dated and married a man who had 3 minor children and later on she adopted them.Her family questioned her of why she would wish to marry a man who had children.She told her family it was because she loved him and that his children were part of the package deal so to speak.
I think most women have already raised their own and just don't wish to be mommy to someone eles children.I think they also don't wish to have to deal with the ex-partner.
