WELL I NEVER

In a short time we’ve come so far,
From bicycle, to atom bomb to motor car,
Global warming, crops failing,
Millions starving, cos, it’s stopped raining,
Well I never…..
….Aren’t we marvellous and,
So very, very clever!

THE WALL

Twin souls, you and me,
Separated by politics and geography,
Two shadows cast upon the same wall,
On opposite sides, that’s all.
Though it might as well be a thousand miles,
I can’t hold you, see your face or your smiles,
Your sacred tears bleed beneath the bricks,
Making me both happy and sad, one hell of a mix.
Maybe we will meet one happy day,
If we both were to dig and meet half way.....

HAVE A GO AT THIS.....If You LIKE....

TRY WRITING A RHYMING STORY IN 50 WORDS....

ie....

Sounds....
Like the clap, clap, clap of castanets,
she appears,
a pure vision of beauty, in high heels and fishnets.
On MY arm, through to dinner,
Chuckle to myself,
glad I rubbed that old lamp on the shelf,
it doesn't get much better than this...
for a would be....Sinner

RETURN FROM THE DARK SIDE

Feeling alone……
Being homeless in your mind,
Is not the same as Actual homelessness,
It’s worse, it’s a kind,
Of, hopelessness…There’s a hole,
A hole in your soul,
Of which you are at the bottom of,
And it’s blacker than coal!
You can’t see the light,
Have no strength,
Acceptance of the fact,
Makes you unable or unwilling to fight.
To break the vicious circle,
The seeming perfect ring,
That my friend, is the thing!
It doesn’t matter what you are, or who,
It’s the only….The most crucial…
Repeat, the Only thing to do.
This, is not advice,
Being an interfering do-gooder,
That’s not my vice.
I think it is in everyone’s grasp….
To choose….
To choose at some time….
And that time Will come...
To leave the losing,
Change to winning.
Time to remember, fate….
Never beckons…
At a time of our own choosing!
Now is the time, to find a belonging,
Take your experience of the dark side,
To relate as I have,
To those, that for darkness have a longing,
Stand in the light and no longer hide,
Re-discover your sense of long lost pride!
Regardless of what others might say…
Seize this dawn….It’s Yours…
This…..
Is YOUR day!

RACK THE RIPPERS...(SISTER)

Rack the rippers sister,
For them is the rules,
An for you too mister,
Cos them is the rules.

Rack the rippers sister,
Yeah…Rack the ripper,
Just go to it mister,
And rack the ripper.

Rack the rippers sister,
See the river flow,
Rack the rippers sister,
Show him the way to go.

Rack the rippers sister,
Catch the rapids’ flow,
Grip the rip an ride em sister,
Go sister go.

Rack the rippers sister,
Cos in love there ain’t no rules,
So, grab a mister, sister,
Cos them is the rules.

Rack the rippers sister,
Yeah, there’s nothing’ busted,
Cos you gripped the rip and rode it sister,
Now it's done and dusted….

SONNET OF A VALENTINE

As on one bended knee I kneel,
You've heard the words I've whispered in your ear,
The way you look at me, tells me how you feel,
I know you have understood, by a single joyous tear.
And then, just as our eyes meet,
I feel a slight hesitation in your hand,
I wonder if I can pull off this feat,
Wonder, just for a second, if you truly understand.
Then, as your touch, turns to a caress,
And your lips start to tremble,
I just know that you are saying yes,
Just as my confidence had began to crumble.
See finally, that you know, and will always see,
I will always love you for what you are, and all that you can be.

WHERE THERE IS HOPE, THERE IS EVERYTHING

You're out there somewhere,
You know?
I don't know where you are,
I don't know how I know.
But you'll love me,
You know?
So,
Now I'm on my own,
Maybe that's why I feel so alone.
But look,
I have faith,
You know?
Time or distance is nothing,
You're not far now,
You WILL find me,
Soon.
You know!

The Very Best!

The Sun shines for us, wherever we are,
Through beautiful minds poetry, near and far,
Like two children, in a field at play,
Making daisy chains, jumping in the hay,
We have rainbows for skipping ropes,
Both our hearts, soaring with hopes,
The silver raindrops, upon which we dance,
Make us dare to take our life’s chance,
Tonight, we’ll swing from the stars and the moon,
Singing, making up as we go, such a happy tune,
And when our play is done,
After having so much fun,
In each others arms, we’ll contentedly rest,
Dreaming of tomorrow, of all good things, the very best.

SOMEWHERE

Somewhere.....Somewhere....
Along that fine line,
That divides yesterday and today,
Where everything for a nanosecond stops……
Even time…
In that split second, I looked and thought you gone,
I thought I had lost you to the night,
My senses took flight, and I let go,
When I should have held on.
I felt bereft,
Though unseen, you fought for me,
I was cold and frightened, couldn’t see,
When I thought my heart broken,
Through my fever, you never left,
Til at last the morning came,
And in your loving arms….
……I, was awoken!

FG3.....Rise Of The Groth...(dreamweaver,prelude)

At the bottom of the deepest sea, or, higher than high,
On a mountain top……Near the roof of the world, where only dragons fly,
In our dreams, he is there….. He wanders through them,
chooses, one or two…… Here and there,
a couple at a time, as, and when, it pleases him to,
he takes them, as is his will to do.
though with a touch, like a feather, so light,
sweetness of mind, in thought, of a kind,
intangible colours, softly flowing, of honest hue.
A magical aura, around him, gently glowing,
a genuine affection, true hope growing.
Cosseted, fondly nurtured, supported,
coaxed and persuaded,
like a beautiful flower, with wisdom watered,
all gathered, subtly altered,
cared for, sorted.
Then woven…… With threads so mysterious, included of all life’s essence,
soft incandescence,
finally, making sure, everything is golden and of benevolence.

He summons the beast with an urgent thought,
The thought hovers for an instant, before on a mountain breeze being caught,
arriving almost at once, proudly, always ready in an hour of need,
Vision of majesty……Dreamweaver’s steed!

In a single bound, leaping, then…..With legs, neck gripped,
his master, on huge back did sit,
Urgently… The harness was pulled……..
"Upward....Speedily onward……." The sky beckoned,
lightning flickered……
The route to be taken, through darkened, stormy weather,
by instinct reckoned.
Then an awesome demonstration of power, as flapping and beating.…. Caused……Draft for flight,
For the long journey into night, thoughts of two destinies meeting.
With enormous wings of bone and leather,
he, masters beast, loyal as ever,
Of a sudden, is borne aloft!
Look up….
See underbelly, green, yellow, soft!
Huge talons, twin crystals clutched,
never before by mortals, seen nor touched,
flaring nostrils, Fiery breath,
lighting the way, by glowing coal red eye,
that does intelligent strength imply.
Course charted now...... From this dimension to the next!

A relevent irreverance....(LOL)

Itch on the right hand is loss,
On the left is gain,
Don't wish to be ungrateful lord,
But could I have a third one that itches all the time,
Just to keep me sane.
I tend my patch,
I plough my share,
I help as much as I can,
I really care!
Don't wish to be ungrateful lord,
But could you arrange to re-grow my hair.
You know my eyes are crossed,
My own fault,
Due to a fight I lost,
Now there's always two of everything I see,
Don't wish to be ungrateful lord,
But could you arrange it, so when I look in the mirror,
There's only one of me.
My left leg is crooked,
I got a gammy right knee,
The one in the middle,
Only works when I need a pee,
Don't wish to be ungrateful lord,
But can you give me an invisible splint,
Only to use when need be.
Better still lord, could you start with me all over again,
Let me be at the front of the queue,
To save all this asking,
To save you all this pain,
Yep...Right up the front, instead of the back,
Where you hand out good looks aplenty,
And of good fortune, there's no lack.
Sorry lord if I might seem irreverent,
But, surely, when you look at me,
Can't you see,
It's a reasonable request and quite relevant.

Snuggle Up!

Grey….. cold, wet, rainy day,
Duffle coat, boots and mittens day,
Beef stew and dumplings day,
Hot crumble and custard day,
Wine in front of the fire day,
Snuggled up on the sofa day
Cuddled up together day,
Ahhh! …..What a lovely day!
