RE: top ten enlighted masters :)

Jesus,Jesus,Jesus,Jesus,Jesus,Jesus,Jesus,Jesus,Jesus,Jesus..
There is no other name where by Men can be saved..The Bible says even if we try any other way we are the same as a thief and a robber. The King James Bible has been here 2000 yrs...I know it's real cause when Jesus came into my life ,He changed everything. My way of living, thinking, loving, sharing Him,loving ,speech, heart, and so much more. God is the only one that loved us so much He gave His son so after this life we would have eternal life.Jesus blood was shed for us..and the sad thing is none of the other's did this, and whether we believe this or not..only the one that excepts Him as their Saviour, into their heart will not be left behind when He does come after His people..Jesus rose from the dead..and is in heaven now.. He WILL come again.I know He is real He lives in me..If u need scripture ,I can give it..I just started writing and didn't look anything up..God is love John 3:16.he loved us so much He made a way out of this sinful world...He said I am the way,the truth and the life,no man comes unto the Lord but by me..He love s u very much!!!!

RE: Redundant and Useless profile statements

A wonderfull and insightfull set of offerings...

May i take the opportunity to throw my hat into the ring?...
A while back I was "someone else" here on sight, and even now i have access to my ravings of a while back, so, if it pleases the jury, Ill rehash a blog piece i wrote in January which states my position on dating and profiling...

...The Profile Question...

I cant speak for anyone else, but personal profiling is an art i have yet to master...Writing about "guff and nonsense" is to me, nearly as natural as drawing breath, but describing "ones self" is akin to trying to do the the Michael Jackson "moonwalk" wearing golf shoes (you know, the spikey ones)...
Its been some months in "Looking for love" land, and after six full re-writes and numerous "tweeks" i still hav'nt found who i am!, and so im languishing in a sort of profile "no mans land" so to speak...Ok, in fairness some of it has been born on the back end of a couple of dates and a handfull of "very nearly's", but i find I'm changing my expectations here on site with the onset of time and circumstance (as indeed im sure the same can be said for many)...Am i any less interested in finding that special someone, the answer would be no...Do i have less expecation of finding that person in the short to medium term, well the honest answer would have to be yes...Is this a problem?...Really, No its not, im prepaired for the "long game"...
........

So why is the profile still elusive?...

We are a complex animal, its reasonable to say that in evolving as people we connect readily to the tagline "a work in progress"...That being said, could some of us not make the leap forward from the typical "would like to meet" profile by numbers and "engage" in a more imaginative way with potentialy interested parties...To wit...(now the scarcastic bit!)...
I know your unique, you have fingerprints and D.N.A to support that statement, so, why not tell more about the real you...The you that others "really" want to know...
Let me be frank (if frank does'nt mind!), I dont drink wine in front of a roaring fire while watcing a DVD, I hate walking on the beach in a force 9 gale, I dont like gardening or dancing till my feet hurt, I would rather fill my ears with concrete than listen to country and western music...(now the genuine bit)...But i do go overboard for a profile with "depth"...I dont have to see your picture (although its always appreciated) to know wether or not im going to be interested in you...What I am saying is, a good "free text" is manna from heaven...
Ask youself, out there in the real world, what fires you up about a person?, is it the looks (which will fade inevitably with time), or the depth of character...Its a no brainer really...I know when the right one comes along (as she surely will), it will be her words and the pictures she paints with language that will reel me in...
So, in closing, the effort spent on profiling is, or should be time well spent...It is essentially the most important piece of writing any of us will ever do on a dating site...Whats the expression, ah yes..."you ony get one shot at a first impression"...thats no lie...
And with that said, I'm off for a coffee, a cigarette, and a notepad full of ideas......I WISH!...

Transmission ends...
..........

RE: Ten Irritating Habits of Women

makes me giggle...
funny, men are very often just looking for this kind of woman and than they are getting unhappy with what they got...

honestly, i do not know woman who are like this. but it may be just the case that those kind of woman do not even have a use as a friend.

we are getting what we deserve. if men deal with that... well, healthy legs can walk away ... i would not just walk, i would run as fast as i can ;-)

but thanks for this fun list, at least it made me laugh out loud

The men that I have met so far are the kind of men that think if you are not thin and gorgeous they are worth nothing. Some of us are not so good looking but are beautiful on the inside.applause

RE: Redundant and Useless profile statements

I agree with you DeeAnne, private information should be kept to ourselves and only shared when actually in a relationship. But I do find that there are guys who, on their profile, state that their children are their whole life and use all the cheesy phrases making out that they are God's gift to women and when they message me they go straight into the gutter from the first word they type. Amazing how people butter themselves up and hide behind the good stuff that they describe themselves by.
Just my view on a lot of what i have experienced here on cs. but there are some really great people too, who are genuinely honest and turn out to be wonderful friends and stay in touch with me on an almost daily basis. I have made some wonderful friends here, men and women and their friendship means a lot to me, even though we have never met in person.

RE: Redundant and Useless profile statements

Would it please cafetwo2010 for every divorcee to include in their profile that will be read by hundreds of strangers a long story of the reasons they are divorced and whose fault it was? Is it not logical to assume that if one is divorced, more than likely it was a mutual decision?

RE: Ten Irritating Habits of Women

This list is 'generalizing'... and i think that all of us no matter man or woman; can write a list of negitivity when our love life has failed... for all those who have succeeded in this area would not write a list as such... I know i have left relationships because they did not work out, but I am NOT about to generalize and b*tch about men as I know every person is different, and comatibility is the key to finding someone to share your life with...

RE: 10 Things Women Do Better Than Men

I think the main secret behind it is: Women are natural survivors. Its probably to do with baring children. It makes us protective, nurturing, frugal when needed, self sufficient, plus, we are so damn nosy, we want to have a hand in everything.

RE: Ten Irritating Habits of Women

I agree with Jadire's comments. When I ask a man what does he do I'm looking for a tool to have a conversation with, something to talk about on an initial date. I've seen these attitudes in the forums and it's all about trash talking women. I am financially stable and don't need anyone elses gold. Men need to get over the idea that women look for men to support them. This is not the 1950's, this is the new world where women hold prestigous jobs the same as men. If you guys don't like the way women think, the way they listen to your sorry stories then you should think about looking for a man who will "understand" you.

RE: Everything men know about women

Well for me I know that some women are sensitive and they want someone who is honest, caring, loving and respectful. Also women know what they want in life and they go for it. The reason I know this is cause I got to know a girl around my age and i found out some stuff. Yes women wear makeup and they do there hair so they look nice when they go out. Some women are demanding but that's cause the guys don't listen to what they tell them. Well that's pretty much what i know about women.

RE: How not to turn off a woman

I do try to stay away from the money topic for at least the first few dates but the women I have dated get very persistant about it. They start off oh you have a boat and live on lake and on and on and seem to get a bit frustrated with me if I dont go into detail. The last date I was on told me that I dont share enough.

RE: Ten Irritating Habits of Women

Wow. What a narrow minded viewpoint. What did you presume this bitter-induced, generalized view of women would accomplish? I hope it was at least cathartic for you. In any given relationship/situation where two humans are involved there are TWO people culpable for the outcome. You must be swimming in a very shallow pool indeed. I've been on dates with men who trash talk their exes, think with the wrong head, and/or expect sex immediately. Do I believe all men to be neanderthals? Hell no! Just those who compile meaningless lists that generalize a whole gender based on their own limited experience.
