Spider

In the memory of my dearest…

There was a very little spider in the lower right corner of my kitchen window. It span his tiny net and caught smallest flies appearing from the pots with plants… Once a week, I dusted off his corner with a cloth very carefully, using only my index finger and only when I was sure that you, my darling, had time enough to hide yourself in the window frame.

We lived in harmony.

That was a prelude.

…left my key to my best neighbour when departing for my usual 2-weeks late-autumn sun-holiday and asked her to water my pot-plants. Which she certainly did. The woman is an angel.

Upon returning noticed that my windows were washed. Couldn’t believe my eyes at first, but eventually surrendered to the fact: my windows shone clean! Turned out that the woman liked to wash windows. Indisputably an angel and my appreciation has no limits.

…but my spider was gone.

Now the small flies are flying all over my flat and there’s no one to catch them… And – snow, rain, nearest road – the windows are dirty again.

I hope, my dearest, that your short life in my window corner was happy and plentiful. I miss you so much…

Ode To Emmycat

My best friend Emmycat wasn't feeling well...so I took her to the vet clinic...

She had a mass on her heart and lungs...so I agreed with the vet to euthanize her...

Emmy may you rest in peace and I will never forget you...I truly miss you and love you...

The joy pets can bring is infinate...and Emmy was a joy to hang out with and loved to snuggle

and play fight...and she loved her kitty treats

Bonkers

I tried very hard not to condemn people for their beliefs, and if I think they're bonkers but will try to keep my thoughts to myself . But today took my breath away.
Watching a programme this morning with a discussion between a farmer, his wife and a vegan. The farmer had posted a nice picture of his cow on a social media site with her calf triplets, apparently quite a rarity. All was well for 24 hours, then a group of vegans started trolling. This mornings discussion left me speechless with the vegan saying that farmers were committing rape on their cows when having them artificially inseminated, why because the cows had not given their permission.

FOLKS WHO SEEM PROUD OF MULTIPLE MARRIAGES....

So a lady, originally from PR, member of a foreign language group, started to come on to me. Visits at house, gifts from the cocina, asking this car guy to help out with her aging Honda Rav 4, and so on. Hello greeting kisses on mouth soon followed. In time, she began to tell me a little about herself, including 6, count them, SIX !, marriages, all ending in ways that seemed to place her in a good light. Now, I'm hip, as our twins' mom and I, never betrothed, on splitting, do remain good friends, and caring coparents. But for those believing in powers above traditional science, Bravo NEVER pees up the Aa mansion. But when she began to list the hubbos, one to six, Bravo got right up, and began spraying the rugs. Easy clean up, and of course I was nice to him, but it got me thinking. Dogs sense all sorts of things in humans. Now these animals are used to find occult cancers and predict seizures, and lots more. Did he sense some anxiety, etc. from one of us, or perhaps something else? Anyway, she soon turned out to be a gold digger and little more, so she got the hook. Perhaps he was protecting her, or me, or all three of us? VKH-Aa.

The history behind popular sayings....

so many, we've heard 'em. Rub a dub dub, three men in a tub. When you sneeze, you taste death. And so on. Many have real medical reasons behind them. How about numbers one and two for peeing and pooping, respectively? Have often wondered about these, until, that is, I became a dog owner many years ago. My dogs all kept business things in proper order. Aa-VKH.

what

What does anyone really want?
A warm body to sleep with?
An ear to listen to the unlistenable?
Some feedback on decisions, serious
Or does it all boil down to the sticky sexy?
