I had a friend a few years back that told me he was seeing this woman. This woman was a Christian and cheated on her husband countless times, eventually divorced, she lied, she stole, she dated men after men after men, cheating on countless boyfriends. My friend asked her, aren't you a Christian? What do you think God will think of this? Her reply was, the Bible says he will forgive me.

Last week Donald Trump shared a message on Twitter from a racist conspiracy theorist proclaiming that he, the president, was viewed by Jewish people as the “Second Coming of God” and the “King of Israel.”
The mytho-religious aspects of this “endorsement” likely have no meaning for Donald Trump. Such claims matter to Trump primarily because they stroke his megalomania. Trump the malignant narcissist authoritarian and fascist seeks out praise from wherever it may come. As such, Donald Trump frequently praises himself in the grandest and most absurd terms possible: for example, Trump’s looking to the sky last week as if looking for a sign from God and then telling journalists and the world that he is in fact the "chosen one."
Beyond personal grandiosity, Trump’s endorsement of his status as the “Second Coming” and the “King of Israel” were important signals to his two most loyal groups of supporters.
Christian nationalists, evangelicals, "reconstructionists" and "dominionists" support Donald Trump because they see him as a means of overturning the U.S. Constitution and its rules separating church and state, with the ultimate goal of creating a Christian theocracy. Trump’s racist supporters are buoyed and encouraged by his sharing (another) message from a member of their movement. Collectively, these Trump supporters are eager to put an end to America’s multiracial democracy.
Terry Heaton was a television news executive for the Christian Broadcasting Network during the 1980s, where he worked primarily on "The 700 Club," its signature news and talk show. Heaton also served as one of Pat Robertson's advisers during his 1988 presidential campaign. Terry Heaton is also the author of several books including his most recent, "The Gospel of Self: How Pat Robertson Stole the Soul of the GOP."
I spoke to Heaton recently about how and why right-wing evangelical Christians have come to worship and love Donald Trump, a man who is an unapologetic sinner. Heaton also offers insights on the direct connection between evangelical-oriented media such as his former employer at CBN, Christian nationalism, Fox News and Donald Trump’s conquest of the Republican Party and its voters. Heaton also warns about the power and influence of Robertson and his “shadow government” of right-wing evangelicals, who have waged a decades-long campaign to overthrow secular democracy in America.
How do you make sense of Donald Trump’s rise to power and why so many Christians support him, given his evident values and behavior?
One of the things that has always puzzled me about the Trump phenomenon is that he would never have been elected had he not been able to recruit people for whom his policies would be harmful. But many of these voters consider their faith first. As I wrote in my book "The Gospel of Self," they see affluence around them and in their minds there is no reason they too can't be rich one day.
There is also this belief from a certain Biblical perspective that Donald Trump is a type of King Cyrus. Cyrus was the Persian king who released the Israelites from captivity and then let them go back to Jerusalem and build the temple. Connecting Trump to King Cyrus has been written about a great deal in certain Christian publications.
Cyrus wasn't a righteous man. He was a reprobate and a pagan. But the point is that God used him for good. Many of these Christians look at Trump and they say the same thing could be going on with him. The ends then justify the means, and to them supporting Trump means getting their Supreme Court justices, "religious freedom," prayer in schools and all their related concerns about "morality."

IS 2020 REALLY THE LAST GASP FOR REPUBLICANS?
There has been a lot of internet chatter that 2020 is going to be the last gasp for the Republicans as it will be the last term for Trump(if he wins) and unless the Republicans can get a candidate that can appeal to the nutjobs clamoring for socialism in the Democrat party they are not going to squander another opportunity to retake the White House and this time they are in it for the long haul! Who can honestly doubt,in light of their past failed attempt at subverting the lawful vote in this Country,that if they EVER retake the White House they will ever again relinquish it? In light of Bible prophecy that predicts(it has never been wrong in 6,000 years!)an end times scenario such as the Great Tribulation and this communist/socialist takeover of the leadership of the United States takes on an even greater urgency! Coupled with the fact that by 2024 there are going to be sufficient multitudes of illegal aliens in the US to sway the vote to their puppetmasters in the Damns party and it is almost a foregone conclusion that we will be giving the Nazi salute to Hillary and her evil from the depths of hell cronies! Being a Christian I have,as they say,seen how the entire struggle between the forces of Good & Evil ends up; in Revelation the devil,all his demons and ALL of unredeemed humankind ends up in the lake of fire and everyone who makes it to heaven lives in eternal peace and security with God! However,as a born and bred American,someone who volunteered to serve during Viet Nam as a Marine it still doesn't do my heart much good to see what this country has degenerated into and it nearly makes me sick to see our great Country devolve into some half-assed third world totalitarian state that nobody will want to fight to defend! It is still not too late,but at this point,I don't think much good will come to this Country without some good old fashioned Hell-Fire and brimstone preaching and national religious revival! GREAT TRIBULATION;PRO/CON AND WHY?
Whether any of us wants to talk about it or not hell and judgement are not far around the corner. They are coming to the earth before the real hell and judgement at the Great White Throne Judgement in the form of what the Bible calls "the time of Jacobs trouble" and according to the Bible it is going to be THE absolute most trying time for the earth and All of those who are not taken by the Rapture and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy! Just saying we don't believe in it isn't good enough! Picture an ostrich with its head in the sand and the catastrophe that overtakes it! The devil has done a masterful job of convincing as many people as he can that the bible is all myths and fairy tales and during this time the price of salvation for most is going to be martyrdom! There will,however,be numerous opportunities for those who can hold out to accept Christ as their savior and become true children of God! I'll bet all of them however,would have loved to been in on the Rapture,we all have 20/20 hindsight! 2Cor 4:4 says that In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not,lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ,whio is the image of God,should shine unto them.kjv

The intent of this discussion group is to explore all things religious.I am a non-denominational Christian who believes in the inspired Word of God,The Holy Scripture. My reference Bible is the King James Bible,which,in spite of its flavorful Olde English wording,I believe is STILL the most accurate translation to date.I know there are those who would disagree with me but for the sake of argument lets say that whatever Bible you are comfortable with,if you truly are a committed Christian searching for the Truth I believe God will reveal to you what you are ready to learn! Since this is a religious blog I would have to ask all of you to please observe decorum in language and references at all times please. I welcome any and all commentary whether one is a muslim ,agnostic,athiest,non-beleiver,Minister etc..... I don't for one second proclaim to know everything and if someone has a more factual take than I and can prove it through the pages of Holy Writ then by all means......prove me wrong, this blog isn't about me or my views so much as it is an effort to spread the message of God's love for us all and His SINCERE desire that we ALL escape the fate worse than death...…. We are subtly influenced from an early age with, Protestantism, Catholicism, Buddism, Taoism, Islam and a whole host of other brain-washing ways to be the best person we can be; with the help of God. In light of the revelations (excuse the pun) regarding the Catholic and English churches long history of child abuse, coupled with the exploitation of vulnerable people in Ireland within the Magdalene laundries, is it time to look at alternative religious ways to find salvation?
