I agree, some of the best chats I have had are with people without a photo, others are missing out by ruling it out. It adds an air of mystery too.

On the other hand I have had great conversations with those without photos so I have learned not to judge the book without the cover!

Anybody I have dated from the site were also photo-less.
Obviously a pic before meeting is kinda handy though

Sorry, I misunderstood you. Well for obvious reasons we should know who we're chatting to online, I'm sure for some women they don't base it solely on looks, they request a pic for safety reasons and to avoid getting involved with someone who's not single. You can get good/bad vibes from someone via messaging with or without a pic. If you're serious about dating you're gonna have to show yourself eventually and as much as we say personality is important, what good is it if you're not physically attracted to the person?
I don't have a photo. I like people who are like me. Not revealing too much on an internet site in other words.
I roll with the photo. Works for me, been here three and a half years and I averagethree dates a week.

Personally speaking I refuse to chat to anybody that doesn't have a photo up.
I mean if you went into a bar and every lady had a brown bag over her head would you pick one??
