a walk in a dense wood
I had two different friends that had the same passion for riding and owning Harley Davidson motorcycles..........one I watched as he rebuilt his bike after being cleaned up by a cane harvester and losing his leg in the process but not to be deterred rode that bike again ......the other saved cent by cent over a 14 month period to buy the bike of his dreams.........each time I bumped into him he shared his counting with me ......it saddened me to hear he had also lost his leg in an accident and I am certain had I run into him again I am sure he would have been counting again ............

After the death of Roy Surratt ,this poem was found in his Bible. Jesus once said that we shall give account for every idle word spoken. Mathew 12 : 36 The ' crown' is the reward for things done in faith.

Hurt you can leave now Loneliness I'll show you the door You've out worn your company You won't wear me out anymore Regret you can be quiet now And stop lassoing the past Sadness you can go to a devils hell That's one place you won't take me

You cannot reach the summit's peak, without taking that first step upward. You cannot reach the wave's apex, without first stepping into an ocean oh so deep. You cannot foresee a concerto's finale, without first being able to read the notes. You will
If I had one desire, I would like to "sensational!" I want to be that "sensational man" you extol to your mom and dad. I want to be the man you speak of to your friends when you say, "He's one

This moment that vanish at eternity, everything I miss to live takes with him. Each speck of sadness and happiness that left behind, compose an emotional wisdom pearl of my entity. Black and white, unrepeatable, priceless, pearly eveloped brea
I have experienced that some things come easier to other people than to some people.

Oh those never-ending dreams do tease.
In some tribes she is free In some religions She is under man In some societies She’s worth what she consumes. John Trudell
Also an oldie, but I really like it anyway.
Muriel, I can never forget that face an angel in disguise, without the wings but such love in her eyes A force of nature so frail but strong an empathy with those that did not belong A lady that knew how it feels to be lost no home, no love
This poem goes out to all of the women who do not know their worth. You may not have been born into a context where you were given the choice to be strong and to fend for yourself; but as a united body of women, we can make a difference. We can choose, today, to be strong and to see the value in ourselves, our sisters and our daughters. Let's lift up the Sandy's in our lives!
I just read about the poem of our dear friend Paloma who had provided me with enormous amount of inspiration on the days when I was so low and down. I am better now and I hope we can, also share her fears and frustrations because this is what I love most of this place. Our ability to share our pains, sorrows and love give us strength when we need it. That is all.
SOCRATES EVERYTHING YOU WRITE HAS THE ESSENCE OF BRILLIANCE! I JUST HAD TO WRITE SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR YOU! I"M SURE THAT MANY OF THESE POETS FEEL THE SAME!

Off take of the legend of the Dragonfly. Transformation of a larvae that starts out in the water and then changes into a Dragonfly.
I have a woman friend, actually more if we can ever get together, who is involved in Third World Country Humanitarian Work! We have never met but seem to have parallel hearts for hurting people. Rachel is taking money out of her inheritance and feeding the poor. How many people do you know who would go to a country and do it personally! Love You Rachel!
THE LORD IS REAL FOR HE GAVE ME A GREAT GIFT WHICH MAN HAS LOOKED FOR SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME!
the beauty of dance ........so many styles so many reasons .......
This poem is one that is extra special to me, for it acknowledges that people at their seemingly worst, are still a valuable, meaningful part of humanity. For instance, anyone in a homeless situation can make a positive difference and some do- many, perhaps! This is what it means to me, in my experience in Eugene, Oregon. I am grateful that some of our unhoused members are as kind and giving as they are, just as any other- if not more, at times. Perhaps, because they are treated with such grace and respect vs. another locality?
I was inspired by a similar poem, " A Hug" by an author unknown some time ago. I love affection and it makes such a difference, especially to those who are rarely touched in this world- such as those living on the streets.
I created this poem for sharejoysproject.org- inspirational goodies to uplift and encourage others as a catalyst towards positive change in the world.
