I Would Give My Freedom Back

I
If freedom was the choice to give,
A rogue the chieftain’s cap;
And then, in time, repeat my lack
I would give my freedom back
II
If freedom was the chance to walk
The streets of my home town;
But always fearful of attack
I would give my freedom back
III
If freedom was to join the sect
And wear the robes of pious men;
And then like wolves, run in a pack
I would give my freedom back
IV
If freedom was to rid myself
Of all that makes a moral man;
And torture men on board and rack
I would give my freedom back
V
If freedom was to kill and destroy
The lives of those I did not know;
And then be knighted for whack and whack
I would give my freedom back
VI
If freedom was to know the truth;
But lie and lie, to keep the form
And then receive a hero's plaque
I would give my freedom back
VII
If freedom was to be immune
From the desparate cries of suffering men
And in those places never crack
I would give my freedom back
VIII
But God, the Almighty is Freedom’s source
And no people hold its exclusive rights
For where Freedom reigns, there is no fear
Each man is born as Freedom’s heir

About this poem:
The word freedom is so often used today, without any real practical indications of its true meaning.

ALI (float, sting)

Ali
where did you go?
Your fallen crown, your resurrect,
your voice so strong,
lost to the restraint
of misbegotten fate.
We, your progeny
remember: ALI
your blood and spate and voice
that flew about
(float like a butterfly)
Ali, your chin was strong, and stern
your black, proud
your fist a terror frozen, high
(sting like a bee)
your fight much bigger
than the tiny square
you danced as if
there were no rules, no doubt
as if you never knew regret.
You gave each one of us
a little bit of free.

Ali
in Africa (they chanted beyume)
you danced a legendary
fought the boundaries
of hate, the rot of prejudice, you knew
no shame, you spoke in proud, your chin
was strong, your fist flew straight
and always, high
we heard your voice, we saw
you rise and never fall,
Ali, we won't forget.

I'm That Type of Neighbor

I'm that type of neighbor who likes to walk like an elephant
When I put my foot down it rattles all your china
I'm the type of neighbor who loves to sing in the shower
I especially like that song by Snap I Got the Power!
I'm the type of neighbor who falls asleep with tv on way too loud
I'm that type of neighbor who loves to hang out with a crowd
Cause I'm that type of neighbor
Oh Wee Oh Oh Oh
Oh Wee Oh Oh Oh
Cause I'm that type of neighbor
Oh Wee Oh Oh Oh
I'm that type of neighbor that owns lots of cats
I never clean up after them and thats a fact
I'm the type of neighbor who has two brats
They never stop crying and making noise
I hope it doesn't hurt your feelings
Cause right now they're the ones running across your cealing
Cause I'm that type of neighbor
Oh Wee Oh Oh Oh
Oh Wee Oh Oh Oh
Cause I'm that type of neighbor
Oh We Oh Oh Oh
I'm that type of neighbor who deals drugs to the kids
I'm that type of neighbor who stays up all night
My homies will cat call your girlfriend and give her a fright
I'm the type of neighbor who will never talk to you
Don't even try to say hello or try to hang out cause I hate you
Cause I'm that type of neighbor
Oh Wee Oh Oh Oh
Oh Wee Oh Oh Oh
Cause I'm that type of neighbor
Oh Wee Oh Oh Oh
Oh Wee Oh Oh Oh
Cause I'm that type of neighbor

About this poem:
Ths is a parody of LL Cool J's I'm That Type of Guy. This is a compilation of bad neighbors I have had and have now living in apartments. I'm still trying to figure out why my black neighbor keeps asking for a knife. Any ideas?

OPINING TRUTH...LBF

Blacks are THE racist of hater's
elders groom Next Gen race baiter's
Failing historic cities oppressed blacks' "lead"
DC Mayor Bowers a joke indeed

Referring to Caucasians as 'Cracker's' OK
victim Mayor Adams 'rolls that way'
Black and White comprehension not alike
others rightly communicate more civil like

Blacks don't accidently mock or incite
Stacey's leaked maskless photos utter spite
Imbecile Rep. Waters proposes racial strife
obvious who ensures chaos remains rife

Injecting 'Race card' majority justly detest
aim disrupting quality life for rest
could being born black explain rebellion
skin pigmentation doesn't define a hellion

Human Constitution 'live and let live'
to that pledge the civilized give
Equality irrelevant when it's who's killing
savages must cease innocent blood spilling

I like it there wherever I am

I like it there wherever I am
I daydream all day of the people I would rather be around
It is a small list
Todd comes to mind
But before he got in all the trouble he is in now
I would have to go back to 1990 on him
Ted is another
Till he whacked me in the head accidentally with my own seven iron
I miss the Saturday mornings watching the Smurfs and School House Rock
I miss the Dunkin Donuts and red hot jawbreakers
I wish I was back in Yellowstone watching the geysers and hot springs
I wish I could go to Mars and have some real privacy
I wish I could go back in time when there was only 200 million people
And not the 7.5 billion we have right now
I would like to live in Norway or Canada
Where people are treated with respect
Yes, I like it there wherever I am
Because where I am at isn't too peaceful

A politician speaks

My fellow Americians I would like to speak
today on the school shootings
I think we should hxycklng and hughxcjjmvk
this situation more carefully..
Guns should be yzhvkjmkcbzggxjnjffccmmkc
or at least ckvmjxhxxcjcnc, and everybody
knows that a loaded gun might xkvkhxhmmvmm
and kill someone..
But! To be quite clear on this subject I HCJCVVxvgv
and hccddcvmjkfkvk jccj vkvvg cjvvkkmvvk mgvkbk
for the long term.
You, of course would say that I am full of shjfflbmmv
and bull mmmk.
We have a solution which is to talk this thing to death
until the next child gets shmmffkkktvv and ucmkkvhjpl.
I think I have made my case so get off my asshgbhvkkmk.
To be jcmgfcjkgvmkgmkkmmmik should show the world
how nuts we junogkkolkooblll are
Thank you-----

Let’s expect a miracle...

Turquoise oceans slowly turning dark and a menacing-kind-of-ugly,
Healing oceans, mothers of all life, now becoming unwelcome envoys of misery,
The arousing iodine-fresh smell[I plead poetic licence], now a befouled stench to the nostrils,
Seagulls, former white-plumed beings of beauty, frolic and divinity,
Now, sans a place to rest their feet,
Dolphins, the gentlest creatures of the deep,
Now, their welcome smile turned to grimace, as they painfully struggle to move in toxic, murky waters,
Penguins, the gentlemen/women of the poles,
Now, black all over, their young perishing from fatigue and hyper-toxicity,
Little children, playing on the beach wandering why the delightful white sand they built so many castles with, has been replaced by this grimy, gooey stuff...

Re: The BP oil disaster
My beloved poet friends, far be it from me to pontificate, but let’s see if we can collectively expect a miracle regarding this ecological disaster... We will all be affected, no matter where we live, if you have the inclination, join me in this venture for hope against hope, let’s trust the indomitable human spirit in partnership with divinity to come up with a cleansing solution, let’s expect a miracle, and, ofcourse, please post your thoughts on the matter...
Love and light...

What point in time

Vortexs swirling
Endless pinnings
People parting with arms entwining
Huge money spent on high class dining
Endless meetings, retracted greetings
Devils working with eternal Cravings.
New conflicts with people dying
Starving children and people crying
Painfull yearnings ,extreme lost earnings
Tragic lyings,feathers flying
Constant stirrings and untold hurtings
The planets dying and were still striving
Hearts entangled and nerves are jangled
New diseases, people sneezing
Poverty and people barely eating
Air pollution and anxious feelings
Check yourself, are you still breathing
Coddled politicians and constant reelings
Heroin addicts and alcohol dealings
Can't we all just have some feelings
Ranting,ravings and thoughts of wealth
Dying children and gigantic savings
Pollute the earth,forget the health
Molecules that kill your breathing,
Money spent on killing masses.
Whats in it for me and save your asses
Private clubs and general apathy
Vent your anger now on society
Money competiton and stockpiled metals
Painfull dyings, material amassing
Superficial selfish practices,
Anxious cell phones and texting classes,
Rationed food and new improved optic glasses
Pointed buildings stretching skyward
Shimmering coated window glasses
What we need is more golf passes
Stylish logos,no more hobos
Move the homeless but leave us blameless.
Walk away and we are shameless.
Killer gasses,pollution increases
Make more money,shut up honey
Pain and suffering, stock price stuffing
Gods work waining,stupid straining
Volcanic eruptions,climatic changes
Sordid stories,paperazzi and winning photos
Killer storms and killer bees,
What can all these things mean
Frugal families and tragic losses
Will whipped employees and hurtful bosses
Declining frogs in lakes and bogs
Start up your gas guzzling hog
Liquidate and stem the losses
Sellout mankind for just a song
Where and when did it all go wrong

People, who can be trusted

People, who can be trusted are very important,
It’s so difficult – being reliable person in life.
Always those who are kind have to go through discomfort,
But without them world wouldn’t be light and bright.

Yes, I love you

Today I weep.
You killed my Caucasian sister
You wounded my white and black brethren
But I do not weep for them
No. She died honorably.
Standing up to dead the past,
And all negative representations of it,
Before you mowed her down.
I do not weep for the wounded.
They will wear the battle scars and
Have a story to tell:
The day they escaped a coward's chains
And lived to love again, free.

Why do you insist on making it
Hard to love you? Why do your children
Have to rot in prisons and
Become slaves of the State
Because you choose not to let go of
The hate that fuels your desire to spread
More hatred?
Don't you realize by now,
After one-hundred fifty four years,
In your effort to hurt me
You only hurt yourself?

You are my brothers and sisters.
We are Americans.
You shame us all when you choose
To continue to wear the
Chains of oppression.
You are comfortably bound by
Hatred, practicing an ideology
You proudly teach the youth
Because you hate me more
Than you love your child.
Today, I weep for you.

Can you not see that the love and camaraderie
That exists among and between
Your brethren is stronger than the evil
You claim is part of your heritage?
Still, I cannot hate you.
As much as I hate what you do and I
Hate what you believe and I
Hate that you choose to live in darkness.
I know that if I allow myself to hate you
I become just like you.
That frightens me more than you or
What you believe or
That which you are capable.

I choose to love you.
I love what I know you can be.
I love what I know your children will be,
With time and through the experiences
The whole world has to offer
And just one ounce of the courage
They need to step out into the light.
I love you because my love kills your hate.
Yes, I love you.
