Dreams of the junk collector

When I first got home,I felt really bad, disgusted and tired and almost got mad.So I then got some sleep just as if I had none, and I dreamt about all of the things I had done.I went out to find stuff just to bring it back home and to make up this story in the form of a poem.I first saw one item disassembled and curbed,a couchy old couch that remained undisturbed.I saw it,drove past it and just left it there. Then I looked on ahead and I noticed a chair. It was dirty and old but completely intact, and was covered with mold as a matter of fact. Then I found a sump pump, picked it up with one hand.Though its cord had been cut,it went right in the van. A sewing machine was the next thing in line.I took it and tried it,turned out to be fine. Then some rusty old shelves were found on the grass.I took them apart and I loaded them fast. When I got back home, put the stuff in a pile. After all,I just knew it would sit there awhile. It would sit through the snow and the wind and the rain,`til the next time I`d find stuff, much more would I gain. Then the day for the scrapyard would finally arrive. It made me feel great and really alive! There`s nothing like picking up junk off the street. When it`s turned in for money, now dat`s really neat!

About this poem:
"Dreams of the junk collector" is a sequel to "The junk collector`s bedtime story." It describes in more detail about a favorite American pastime.During the heavy rains of 2011,the areas surrounding Chicago experienced severe flooded streets and basements. The next day, people were throwing stuff out and transformed the town where I live into a picker`s paradise. That was in July, during my vacation! When I returned to work,my colleagues asked me where I went on vacation. I replied with "Nowhere, really." All I had to do was just drive around town and fill up the van with whatever good stuff I could find.I could not fill it up fast enough. Now,that`s my idea of a good time!

Wanna Hear My Story ?

Do you want to hear my story?
Be careful, it might be so scary.
I had written it in my diary,
It is all about me and a ghost who is fiery.

At peak of night, i heard a knocking sound,
But when i opened the door, no one was around.
Then confused by the mystery, i closed the door,
And i was shocked to see foot marks on my floor.

A droplet of sweat trickled down from my face,
While my heart beat has increased its pace.
I paced on to search my whole house,
But i found only dirty clothes and few mouse.

Then i felt icy air which made me shiver,
But sweat flowed in my body like a river.
It was the first time i felt fear,
To express it, i began to shed tears.

I thought it might be a ghost,
And thinking about it my body was frost.
I thought it might be an ghoul,
who has come to take my soul.

My lips became too dry to speak,
And i really don't know whom to seek.
When i looked around, there was no noise,
Then i heard a cold and rough voice.

When i turned back, i saw a ugly man,
Who was hanging in my ceiling fan.
You know seeing him was no fun,
So, i took off my heels to run.

He caught me but his hand was warm,
I woke up and found it was mom.
So, don't worry, it is just a horror dream,
I am happy here, drinking coffee with a cream.

Santa Baby (slightly.. different version)

Santa Baby
just slip black candy under the tree
for me
been an awful good vamp
Santa Baby
So hurry to my coffin tonight

Santa Baby
may I dare to nibble you some
for fun
I'll wait up for you dear
Santa Baby
So hurry to my coffin tonight

Think of all the fun I've missed
Think of all the pretty pires I haven't kissed
Next year I could be just as good
If you check off my bloodstained list..

Santa Baby
just one bite and really that's not
a lot..
You won't feel even a prick
Santa Baby
So hurry to my coffin tonight

Santa Honey
one thing I really feel I need
indeed..
just some drops of your blood
Santa Baby
So hurry to my coffin tonight

Santa Darling
ignore the feeling of pending doom
and gloom..
Listen not to your fears
Santa Darling
Just hurry to my coffin tonight

Come and trim the churchyard tree
with blood red bubbles, shiny and for all to see
I place my dark soul's trust in you
Let's see if you will trust me too...

Santa Baby
some blood loss isn't really as bad
as said
Pale is the fashion this year
Santa Baby
So hurry to my coffin tonight

Hurry to my coffin tonight

Hurry.. tonight

About this poem:
It was a just for the silliness of insanity competition a friend had set up. We were to rewrite Christmas songs in a vampiric kind of way, and well.. I ended recording my version with a tiny mp3 player (I had nicked from daughter :P) and using an instrumental wav file of the original song (to which I obviously do NOT claim any rights).

I ended winning the competition as I threatened to record more rewritten Xmas songs -chuckles and shoves halo back in place-

Survival

Fights man with each other
for a handful of rice;
strangles others' throat
which is never nice.

Adopts man many a manner
to see him happy and wealthy;
makes the life of others a hell
and creates an atmosphere not healthy.

Suckles other's blood
through envy, anger and enmity;
telling might is right,
declares the sense of equity.

MAN! a poor creature,
ignorant among animals all;
forgets that the world is God's
Who has stored food for all.

Survival needs a handful of rice;
no fight among human beings.
He can survive better only by
extending love and help to others.

The Bubble and I

"Welcome, you Bubble," asked I,
"Please tell me one thing.
For a moment you come
But what us to bring?"

Said the Bubble, "I'm for a moment,
True, and must vanish soon;
But hark you , my man!
For me this life is a boon.

Life has its own charm
Long or short - matters not;
On the water for a moment
I do love to float."

bird strike

Into the sky the metal eagle soars
The roar of the four turbines lifting its wings
Higher higher it lifts
Its wheels detract
Sliding into its belly

Flying up up to its destination it turns
To it final direction
inside its fragile passengers sit patient waiting to their destination to reach
A flock of birds

Collision strike into its engines they seek
Fragile this metal bird power lossed unable to sustain flight its engines now batterd broken it will go down
captain glides his fractured plane a runway to find

Time now ticking emergency to land
No runway in sight lots of burning fuel
Not enough power to the airport to land on the hudson it must

With the gentlest care the captain controls this metal bird with ease it lands smooth on the water it glides
Onto the hudson it lands a floating boat is not onto it metal wings its passengers pour
Waiting for rescue, they wait the fragile bird just about floats

Boats arrive to the rescue they are saved

Self

Every which way I turn they're walking next to me,
and its clearly obvious that your frown is from the burn, from the burn of the daily grind,
dig to find anything that satisfies the mind,
and in time....you'll give it up
it ain't mine...don't even know wassup

I'm a victimless crime stood on by divines,
Don't have the right frame of mind
lash me for all I've got
I'm kind,selfless and forgetful,
and often I get lost in the stupour of drunk and high,
cause this world you provide its what I need to get by!

Dear God

Dear God up Above
Shelter Those in need of your protection and love.
Help them find a safe place to stay
And erase all their pain away

Comfort those who are alone
And those who are far away from home.
Give them hope and piece of mind
That in the end all will be fine.

Send a meal to all those in need
Even those that had bad deeds
Some believe the end is near
As they live each day in dreadful fear

Send them a sign to not give in
And by working together we will win
So Dear God Up Above
This is my prayer sent with all my love.

Beautiful and Rare

The sun is rising, peeking above the water.
It’s the beginning of a brand new day.
A gentle breeze is coming off the ocean.
I love the way it makes the palm trees sway.

Taking life, slow and easy
On the island where it’s warm and breezy
Never a worry, never a care
A piece of paradise
So beautiful and rare.

As I go walking, barefoot along the shoreline.
I love the feeling of my toes in the sand.
Living here on this island paradise,
I realize this is simply who I am.

Taking life, slow and easy
On the island where it’s warm and breezy
Never a worry, never a care
A piece of paradise
So beautiful and rare.

The day is done; the sun melts in the water.
I head off to bed with a smile on my face.
Snuggled in your arms tonight, my lady,
This is paradise regardless of the place.

Living life, slow and easy
This may sound just a little bit cheesy
There’s never a worry, never a care
You’re my paradise
So beautiful and rare.

About this poem:
I've always had an affection for the islands.....even though I;ve never been...the poems I write are what I perceive as song lyrics....but being void of any musical ability...they are just words.

For 'S'

Silent is the sky
Silent is the moon
Silent is the ocean
Silent shall I be soon.

Whom will you whisper
and whom will you say?
'Me ' will be a 'mummy'
Only to turn into some clay.

So my soul you save
Which is there in the cave
Of sins and of sorrows
Which will lead me to my grave.

Pray you at the end
Never make me bend,
For 'me' is 'you' and 'you' 'me'
And to each other a friend.
